I’m working on raising my renown with all factions to 50, and I noticed that despite being the highest level you can raise renown to, there doesn’t seem to be any reward for it. Does anyone know if there’s any sort of extra option or item or other type of reward gained by getting renown to 50 or if there are any plans to add such a reward into the site?
There is no new item for Renown at 50 for the Factions to date. I don’t know whether there are any plans to change that in the future.
There is no material reward for Renown 50, but Renown 50 for each faction has a unique (and usually pretty cool) quality level description, which, depending on what motivates you, could be considered a reward.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be an item or a physical reward, it could be a story or a new option on a storylet. Anything like that?

Renown 50 for Criminals and Constables unlocks a certain option for those seeking Paramount Presence.
It’s something else to accomplish at higher levels if you’ve done most other things. There’s always the possibility that relevant content may surface in the future.
Renown is uncapped, and you can certainly raise it higher than 50.
Using "normal" gear (and a Mood, and overcapping) you should be able to use the faction items to raise Renown with all factions to 52-54 (depending on the faction and stat).
Using special overcapping (e.g. via Flint) can help you get Dangerous high enough to raise Renown with those factions (Society, Docks, COnstables, Tomb-Colonists) even higher.
And, of course, some Exceptional stories can give a few CP of Renown to certain factions (again, uncapped). One player has already reached Renown 60 with most factions in the game.

50 Church and Hell is used for an Admitted to the House of Chimes trait.
So nothing of any real value? That’s a shame. Still, I can’t imagine Failbetter will just leave those of us with 50 hanging. There will probably be some use for it eventually.
Probably not. It’s more of an achievement for the sake of achievement, like getting Poet Laureate.

In fact, there’s a grind in this game which actually costs you everything… :-)
