Removing unwanted items

Just a little problem.
I just finished the Unfinished Clayman quest on Polythreme in the hopes of getting what I thought to be a +2 RDB hat. However I apparently misunderstood, and it turns out that said Unfinished Hat is not a hat at all, but a companion.

Now, I already have the +4 RDB Bifurcated Owl, so a +2 companion is useless to me, and I don’t really care to keep any items/companions that are not either useful or I personally like due to flavour.
However, it appears that I cannot sell the Unfinished Hat at the Bazaar, so I was wondering if there was any other way to get rid of unwanted equip-able items so they don’t clutter up my inventory?
In fact I have handful of other objects that cannot be sold that I would love to be rid of if there is a way to do so, as they serve no purpose other than being in the way when picking the items I do like.

Unless you can sell it at the bazaar, or you lose it as part of a storylet, there’s no way to discard items.

That’s probably good for unique items like the unfinished hat. You never know when items like that might be used again in a story sometime in the future.

Oh well, then I’ll just have to make sure not to get such items in the first place when playing with my Alt.

On this note, I ground out the Gymnasium on my Seeker for a laugh.

That was an expensive waste of time, that was.

For this very reason, be cautious about what lodgings you choose to purchase. The only way to lose them is to get to the second candle of seeking…
