We need willing volunteers to help us test [REDACTED], a completely new, secret Fallen London feature. Could that be you?
I can confirm [REDACTED BY THE MINISTRY OF PUBLIC DECENCY]
Wow, the [REDACTED] announcement from December was real and not just facetious. Getting ready for some batsmooching, because what else could be so censored.
we’re silly billies sometimes, but i think we wouldn’t put in a whole decoy paragraph when the opportunity to surprise everyone was right there :D
How very [REDACTED]! I am [REDACTED] at the opportunity to try this. I wonder if it involves [REDACTED]…wouldn’t that be [REDACTED]!
Hope I can help out! This game never ceases to amaze me, so what a joy to be of aid!
Finally, Fallen London will be getting the feature essential to text-based narrative games: Tilt Controls! Just imagine, we’ll finally be able to visit underzee locations by tilting the zee map sideways so the water spills out of the way.
My bet and hope is that they’ll revamp social actions, or create a new social activity. Roleplayers would love this.
The ultimate Treachery: rewriting storylets to make progress, for that old text adventure nostalgia boost.
Don’t forget the upcoming integration with the Microsoft Kinect! In one phase you’ll be shown amalgamous, rubbery shapes that you have to try to match the best you can. Local co-op play is heavily encouraged!
I’m betting on home editing. You can design your own home. I will drape a wall in my 50 Red Ribbons. Hang up my paintings. Invite people to parties and see how many surv…, I mean enjoy it.
Jokes aside, I love this rather pointless but cool feature in every game that has it. It is such a great tool for role playing. I love all my digital homes.
I do have one non-joking question: will there be an announcement when the beta starts (and thus everyone who can be selected is)?
The sign-up form says the beta starts on the 13th. So I would assume if you don’t hear by tomorrow, then you’re not in the initial round.
It would be nice if everyone else gets a polite “sorry, but thanks for entering!” email but I also understand it can be some work to send that out to several hundred entrants.
I agree with you on both counts for the email. The very fact I’m asking is proof enough I know it’d be too much work telling everyone who didn’t make the cut that they didn’t.
Thanks for pointing out the starting date, I completely glossed over it.
The first participants have been notified. May the odds be in your favour!
