It has been pointed out before, but I’ll have troupes of urchins shout it from the rooftops once more:
All Fallen London links with "storynexus" in them are dead! Permanently! :D
The same is true for profile links using the ~ symbol instead of a simple spacing or ‘%20’. It used to be necessary to use ~ for spaces, but this has been changed a good while ago.
If you have a profile link in your signature, make sure it’s up to date! :)
Thankyou! Forgot to update the link in my own sig.!
While we’re on the topic of profiles, is there a way to change the “They say…” text? I know when the change to the new design went through it wasn’t possible, but does anyone know if that’s been updated since?

It’s doable, in a slightly roundabout fashion: you need to go to the ‘Myself’ tab, click the ‘View Profile’ button to open your profile in a new tab, and edit ‘They say…’ from that tab. Going straight to your profile probably won’t work (it’s something to do with how FL handles authentication tokens).
Alas, no luck - if I click on it, it opens in a new window (and is the same as if I open it directly.) Right-clicking and opening in a tab opens the same page, still without an edit button.
I’m using Firefox (62.0.3), but maybe it’ll work with a different browser. :-)

For Firefox, the "View Profile" button does not carry the token authenticating your identity, whereas Chrome does transfer the token. What you can do is first log into your account, then manually access your profile from that tab. That way, the authentication token is still present.

This WORKED! Thankyou! :-D
Well I changed my links in the “In pursuit of Influence” thread. I don’t know if they work for other people, but clicking on them myself just leads me to a log-in page, rather than the profile. I copied and pasted them directly from the profile pages themselves. What’s up with that?
I believe the problem there is that the text in your post is the new-style links but the actual links in the code are the old ones! Try deleting them and re-pasting them.
Well that was peculiar. To get it to work I had to delete the links and then actually post it to the thread (with nothing in it). Then edit it again and put the links in. That worked. I had deleted and re-pasted them before, but without actually re-posting the post it didn’t work.
Anyway, thanks for the advice. Got there in the end.
