I would allow for most company, should they be willing to shed their coat at the door. My home is alight the coast of the zee as I take use of an old steamer retired from its travels. Perhaps out of the way, it would be a pleasure to end my nights alone over brandy and tales of travel.
[A new note is left behind] My residence has changed from the ship to a guest room in the Brass Embassy. I assure you that it is entirely safe to come visit, simply provide my name to the greeter and they should let you in. Don’t agree to an abstraction, though. Well, unless you know what it is and you want to have one, but for the most part it is best to politely decline.
On a more direct player note: I’m open to anyone sending requests. I want to see more of the player interaction side of Fallen London and no request will go unanswered. If you’re not a fan of flavor text (or my brand of poorly worded flavor text) then I’ll cut it out at request. Hope to see you in-game!

Edit: I’m also interested in Knife-and-Candle events. Since I haven’t gone against a player yet, anyone willing to show me the ropes would be greatly appreciated!

Have you a passion for intrigue, self-indulgent repartee, and perhaps a touch of general debauchery? Do you take delight in exchanging wordplay worthy of the Neath and its multitude of titillating diversions? Would you consider yourself wildly, devastatingly attractive?
My response to each of these queries, of course, must be "Indubitably!"
If your interest has been ignited by these qualities, then feel free to deposit your calling card at my humble abode. I shall engage in social activities whenever called upon and aid in menace reduction when possible, though given the sordid (and consummately false) rumours surrounding my name at any given moment, I may need to postpone my acceptance of certain requests.
As a new denizen of the Neath, I’m afraid my collection of calling cards is embarrassingly barren. Call on me won’t you?
I’ll be pleased to make your acquaintance
I’ve heard this is right place to properly introduce myself for person seeking more contact with fellow Londoners.
I have already spent some time in this place, but because of me being myself I’ve avoided other people. Recently I’ve come to conclusion that I can’t behave like that forever and started making acquaintances.
I’ll be delighted to meet more people for various activities and help with menaces.
The more contacts I have, the better as far as I’m concerned.
I remember the words from a far greater poet;
"Darkling I listened, and for many a time …"
However, dreams of death do not haunt me; the present deeds of the living do.
If there are any who would be willing - I am not so proud to admit both the Surface and the Neath bring me more sleepless nights than most. Your kindness, I will repay … though trust is a currency rarer than secrets. Regardless, I thank you for reading this advert.
I would be pleased to meet new Fallen Londoners, and to get as close as possible to them.

No offense, Fazuskian, but Jak o’ Smiles might say the same thing.
Our favorite Fixer, Bill Weddings, would love a calling card from an interested party.
'Twould assist those who would accommodate you did you include a link to your profile.
I say chaps, I only just arrived to the Neath myself and a good friend who knows where to find good food or good booze, well that could do wonders for me constitution. http://fallenlondon.storynexus.com/Profile/McFunch
Ladies, gentlemen… things of the Neath,
I have been in Fallen London for some time but rather neglected to make friends, so caught up in my academic and writing pursuits have I been. Of late I’ve discovered a previously unknown talent for violence of all kinds- such fun! Frankly, I’m game for anything, provided I’m asked… politely.
I’d gladly accept any calling cards! Name’s Pillbox.
Hello.
I’ve been away from the game for a good six months, and I’ve come back to discover a bunch of new things I need to get Notability for, so I’m looking for new acquaintances to help in these endeavours. When not pursuing that project, I also need to acquire a second Overgoat, apparently owning just the one is no longer ample proof that a person has the Right Stuff.
[li]Hello all!
Ruggedly handsome gentleman here, trying desperately to make a friend in this dark, cold cavern. I currently hold down positions as a duelist, a journalist and a correspondence know-it-some among other passtimes, so I guess you could call me a Jack of all smiles, er, trades.
I welcome new acquaintances of all sorts, even if I must admit that the soulless make me uneasy at times, and I am open to joining in on most kinds of shared activities that I currently know to be available in the neath.
So to (breaking character) quote The Wire: "Do you have a card?"

PS. For those of you who might want someone to correspond with in the mother-tongue: Jag är svensk.
My dearest denizens of the Neath,
while I’ve loved exploring what Fallen London has to offer in the month since fate flung me this way from the Surface, I would very much enjoy to come to know the more social side of this fascinating city, which has been precluded from me int he past weeks.
As such I’d be delighted to have the honour of making the acquaintance of other citizens of the Neath, and to be involved in all kind of activities.
At the present moment no request will be unanswered, even though I have to ask those who need help in getting rid of menaces, to be so kind as to reciprocate the favour.
Have a lovely perennial evening.
Nimue Grimm (a crafty and captivating lady)
As they say, it’s all about networking, no? I would be pleased to make the acquaintance of any individual who were to work up the courage to send me a calling card. You need not even step into the door, and yet still I will welcome you with open arms. I fancy myself the type who wouldn’t betray an acquaintance, despite my criminal records.
I would be thrilled to be sent a calling card.
