– The branch to create Cartographer’s Hoards from Cartography items is now also accessible from it in addition to the use storylet for Salt Steppe Atlases.
– Having the quality An Experienced Zailor now hides the option to raise Zeefaring, and An Experienced Zailor is no longer show in the requirements for this option. This is intended to prevent new player confusion about a retired quality that is no longer obtainable.

Uh, I love this font color more! :)
Have a great weekend delicious, diggers and suppliers!
Wait what’s this about a Russian Controller?
Apparently it’s a guy referenced midway through the Cheesemonger story. That’s all I could find.
this is an older bit of content and on review, we’ve decided to make a few alterations to it as, as you’ve noted, it doesn’t fit with how we’d like to approach the subject of gender nonconformity,
I’d love to read the new text!

Oh, I do rather like "Excellency". It contains a certain status and culinary attribute that my old title of "Professor" sadly lacks. I was thinking of leaving the Department of Cryptotheology soon enough either way.
You sneaky sneaks - Rare cards now have purple borders, is it?
A card at zee-- one of the ones that increases a dream quality, I think the one about the spyglass to the east-- now has a rather nice bluish-green border too. Presumably the other zee-dream cards do too.

Presumably the other zee-dream cards do too.
Yup, just got it for the Northern Wind
That card that gives you the +30 (attribute) hat has a purple border
As does A Gift of Time. I suppose we’ll see if there are any others.
The Zee-Dreams cards in London also have a teal-ish colour, likely the same as their Zee counterparts. Other (pre-Zeefarer) dreams aren’t colour-distinguished, though.
There are also some cards with green borders. I believe those are the ones dealing with the World Qualities, such as The Aftermath.
A Lesser Find, on Moulin expeditions, has a purple border
That card is Very Infrequent, not Rare.
There are also some cards with green borders. I believe those are the ones dealing with the World Qualities, such as The Aftermath.
And the Fluctuations of the Bone Market storylet.
Exactly. All the cards that affect or show the World Qualities in any way, including storylets.
Regarding the new colours of the card borders, I just noticed that the FL help page has been updated. It now mentions at least the purple and green borders. No mention of the greenish-blue (or rather apocyan, mayhap?) cards, though, only a general statement that some new colours may have specific meanings. And, interestingly, no more mention of the black-bordered cards. Well, we shouldn’t talk about them anyway.
Purple means something high-value or rewarding – a card worth paying attention to.
Green means a card or story that changes over time. Some of those change on their own schedule. Others change as players throughout Fallen London interact with them.
[…]
There are other colours, sometimes with meanings specific to certain places, stories, or activities.
Hiya - no patch notes this week. FotZ 2021 has gone live and there’s been a few bugfixes, but nothing more exciting.
27 August

- Guidance to the next location to progress the story added to descriptions of all main ambition qualities.
- Tramp Steamer:
– Leaving London on a tramp steamer will no longer clear all your progress qualities.
– Arriving at Polythreme via tramp steamer now clears Investigating and Fascinating.
– Branches that make progress on the tramp steamer now cost 1 action (was 5, for some reason)
- Palaeontology:
– Adjusted the Enthusiast in Skulls’ text to more accurately reflect how he works.
- Adjusted the text for purchasing Airag in the card A Presumptuous Little Opportunity.
– …doing so no longer costs three actions.
- Summoning the Manager at Hurlers now requires a completed Ambition.
Year is the boar? I still see year of the tortoise… Is that supposed to change, or is there a new airag item?
