Assuming chance of rare success is 5% and that we roll for airags and mirrorboxes (so mirrorbox is 2.5%):
280 rolls give 55% chance to get 7 or more mirrorboxes
420 rolls give 90% chance to get 7 or more mirrorboxes
510 rolls give 97% chance to get 7 or more mirrorboxes
Basically lucky half of us can get mirrorboxes in 3 days grind and most of us in 5 days. edited by Waterpls on 3/31/2021
Iām just vaguely concerned thereās no indication what, if any, purpose these colored boxes have at all. For all we know they could simply be the Parabolan equivalent of those Railway statues. edited by Hattington on 3/31/2021
After my first campaign, I stocked up on a few of the items that were required for various options. Solacefruit, blue feathers, and the like. But after another campaign, I think the best options are always the ones that either increase morale or spend it, and I shouldnāt bother with anything else if one of those is available. Am I off base here?
No, thatās been true in my experience as well. I just rack up morale as hard as possible in the first 2 war stages, taking Airs options when and where theyāre available, spend big on the 4th and 5th (which has the advantage of grinding my newly uncapped Shadowy and Dangerous stats) and play the 3rd stage by ear.
I donāt even think there are any Airs options that I would rather play than a 93% +1 to both Morale and Advance. I burned through all my second chances on the first campaign.
Whoof. Itās finally done, and at great cost Iāve gathered all 3 available Oneiropompic Staves. Iām going to feel really, really silly if it turns out the boxes are the key to unlocking some fabled secret story and these things amount to decoration.
Also, I donāt supposed any Bag a Legend veterans have found a use for The Long-Dead Priests of the Red Bird in the wars? Havenāt found anything new for the Vake steed.
BTW generals are helping now with checks, so its important to upgrade them in lab. In my last run i have got 99% on morale options without mood and my base dangerous is only 218.

3 of 'em? Jesus wept! Iāve just made my first 5-parable staff, after many days of war, and like 4 failures at glasswork 11 with 60%.
Guess if I wanted all 3 itāll be easier now though.
I do have all 4(?) neath-colour boxes that we know about, and am very glad I stockpiled a load of the sunlight-filled ones years ago.
As to BaL options, havenāt noticed anything special yet re war options, but I killed all the Vakes, and suppose wherever the "Bazaarās Influence can be Found" doesnāt extend to Parabola.

Iām hoping something comes of the vestige of a dream for Mr. Mirrors.

Huh. I wouldāve expected the Bazaar to have had SOME influence in Parabola with everything itās got tendrils in. On the other hand I suppose if it did, it would be more cautious about itās representive wandering around the Viric Jungle babbling out trade secrets when she sleeps poorly.
I appear to have unlocked the deadliest and most worthy opponent of all in Parabola: Myself. Which is odd, because I completely missed any gain of the Mirror-Fed quality though I must have presumably acquired it at some point doing the campaigns. On the plus side, I appear to have found a use for my Winged and Taloned Steed, Formerly Mr. Veils at last!
You get mirror-fed from eating the various quirk enhancing foods made at Station VIII kitchen, and also "Delegate to yourself" action when campaigning, so easy enough to pick up without noticing. Of course it takes 7.
Just got the campaign against myself war too, and while some of the writing with āyouā is hilarious, I got nothing other than "Deny yourself" at the end.
Still, there was ā¬312 echoes worth of a new item from it.
Sadly, me/you/myself is not in charge of the dome of scales, which I was kind of hoping for.
I can augment my generals in the laboratory and use them on any campaign. Great, I guess. Why would I want to use one general over another? Iāve heard that they make some checks easier, but do they each help with different kinds of checks, or what? Thereās no indication that thereās any difference between them.
some of the writing with āyouā is hilarious
Like this bit?
"To reach your first objective, you will need to chart this landscape and ensure your Companyās safe advance. All the while your army armies watch and wait."

OH. Must be from hitting Delegate To Yourself accidentally a few times, since I definitely didnāt prepare any quirk-enhancing foods up til now. Also boy, a map of the Waswood-that item definitely looks like itās going to open interesting doors in the future.
Also, of your characters I see one killed the Vake entirely while the other did Light Fingers. If any other Ambition-completing players have gone to war with yourselfs, can you confirm any additional outcomes? Iām tickled the Vake-steed came into play once again, but surely there must be some other Ambitions with similar options.
