We understand that, sporks, but it’s been stated that this ambition is 100% complete and people, such as mrdoors, have revealed that there is in fact a way to acquire Salt’s Song.

Hmm. Actually. I just checked. There’s an option that’s incredibly mean, but is the solution you’re looking for. It’s actually borderline impossible to stumble on. MASSIVE SPOILER FOLLOWS
Dread Surmise ≤ 0
Element of Dawn ≤ 0
Mountain-sherd ≤ 0
Captivating Treasure ≤ 0
Searing Enigma ≤ 0
You have to have zero of these things in your inv. And it doesn’t even appear until you do, I think.
Edit: And apologies for the misunderstanding.

Well crap I did the literal exact opposite of what I was supposed to do. That makes quite a bit more sense, though.
I would never have tried that Sporks, thank you.
In retrospect, Irem being Irem, that makes perfect sense.
Warning along the way: I understood from this forum that I might get only one trip with sunlight, so I saved up for a large load of boxes - which took my Yearning over 200 in one swoop, apparently, so I suspect I missed out on significant lore along the way. Next time!
It should still pop up the bits of lore as you fill each box, the only lore I ever saw was in the level descriptions (and even then they mostly were ‘oooo pretty oH WAIT CRAP’)
