Well, I already went fishing. I have a Strange Catch 7. So it sounds like you have to do more than fish, at least.
I’ve received nearly every item she offers except a clay man and maybe one other (does that change anything, I wonder?)… And I’ve never been through two whole cycles after fishing without seeing her. I didn’t realize I’d done something else with Fruits etc. every single time I’d met her. Hmm. edited by Lavessa on 9/4/2014
Oh now I think I understand what Lady Ciel was talking about before. There really is no order to the Sights is there? They just dropped from the 70’s to the 40’s on me in one turn.
Looking at this now, I’m rather surprised I managed to get as many meetings with this lady before as I have. That is, if that is really all there is to it.
It seems this time around, a few means half a dozen tries or more. The odd thing is, I really believe I did not attend things under Fruits so many times before.
That’s the RNG for you, sounds like you were really lucky to get the hooded lady so often before but some of the other options can be quite profitable, and the text is fun as well, and reducing your nightmares or wounds for a catch also gives items that you can use when fishing.
After about 8 attempts at the Fruits, I ended up with Cove 6 and a choice of the fabrics or the Incunabulum. Both of which I have already taken once. I am still extremely surprised it took that many actions, as I personally picked up almost everything else quite consistently (though not super quickly) without sitting in at Fruits so many times. And I have picked up quite a few menaces in the process. Now I understand better where all the dismay is coming from.
Well. I almost got my guinea pig, but had to save the clay man. If this ends without me getting a pig, there will be much sorrow. (Anyone know when it’s due to finish?)
Finally I have landed all 5 weapons. Getting the Eolith took more attempts than getting all the others combined. :)
Now maybe just a few more fishing trips to help clear out the menaces, plus maybe a few more just to pocket some extra stuff to remember the Festival by. :)
I have the snuff, enoki th, and guinea pig so far, but the remaining two are giving me trouble. If I have a catch of the exact level, it gets nerfed. If I have one of a higher level, it stays the same. Very frustrating,

The Eolith is what gave me the most trouble too. It’s surprisingly hard to hit that number.
The Melancholy Curate is clearly connected to the devils, and I’m not so sure they’re fond of well-worshipping. They certainly don’t like the stained souls of seekers.
The Eolith is what gave me the most trouble too. It’s surprisingly hard to hit that number.
The reason why I’m enjoying this seasonal event so much is probably my ridiculous luck, as this is how my fishing for items went:
5->5, 7->4, 8->6, 7->5 (fabrics), 11->8, 4->4 (wines, maybe twice?), 5->3
It also provided a quick route to Mutton Island, which I have now fully explored. My only question is if there’s any benefit to getting Stormy-Eyed higher than 19 (in case it gets spent on certain actions or something like that).
The only reason to have Stormy-eyed higher than 19 is to be able to spend longer in the Mind of the long dead god as you get kicked out as soon as it reaches 0. It is a fascinating experience and well worth visiting.
For the most part I’ve been lucky in getting the items too, so despite a little bit of hassle in hitting the right number I’ve never felt frustrated during this event. The text is pretty great too, which helped.
+1 to this. I was actually at Mutton Island before the festival was announced getting stormier and stormier just for this purpose. The resulting visit to the Mind was well worth the time spent to me.
Have we had any hint of how long the Festival will be going? I’ve gotten all five weapons, at long last–does anybody think it’s worth staying on Mutton Island, just in case the Festival goes out with a bang?
Just so. But a little frustrating when trying to reclaim your Stormy Eyed if your Dream amount is too high.
I wish the stormy Eyed option would appear regardless of your Dream amount.
