Yeah, I logged on first thing this morning to try to get the guinea pig for my partner at her request. And… gone. I was probably more sad about this than I would have been if I’d lost the chance for my own character.
I’ve actually been avoiding FL all day because of that, which I realize is terribly silly, and I am sure I will get over shortly. edited by thedeadlymoose on 9/11/2014
How long should I camp/grind on the island? I’ve been grinding Shadowy (from 97 to 109). Persuasive is 188. Watchful is 124. I just became a Person of Some Importance and got access to the Bazaar-Side-Streets. I don’t know how long it will take me to buy a boat to get back here.
if i remember correctly, the challenges should get too easy(modest - very modest) once you get those stats pass 150+. after that doing social actions to get 2nd chances and a slight increase is probably faster. as for getting a ship, it’s fairly quick( maybe just a few days) if you opt for the basic steam ship AND you previously converted certain items like wines and nostalgia items to the upper-tier items
Oh, I knew that the festival was about to end, but a week is a rather large unit of time. I think the Feast of the Rose lasted for about two weeks, but that included three weekends, so it was more like 16-17 days, wasn’t it? Which was certainly generous… and may have set a bit of a precedent. So, yes, I believe that it’d be a good idea to give at least a 24 hours’ notice when something is about to end. That way the unit of time would be down to hours, and well in advance of the actual end.
I do appreciate both the warning on twitter and especially future intent to warn people on the forums in the future, since I use neither Twitter nor Facebook.
Since the recent news indicates that this will be returning basically as it was except for the quirk reductions, I figured I’d just do thread necromancy:
I see varying claims regarding the general profitability of the Festival. As this is not new content, and I’m still chasing Cider, can anyone advise whether I should head to Zee when this arrives or stay in the Fifth City?
Not that anyone found last year, and there’s been no new content. I seem to recall only getting as high as ten, so maybe there’s something to be found at eleven, but it really, really, doubt it.
I’ll have to echo an_ocelot’s question. I’ve managed to fish out a Destiny and all unique items for myself (that “projectile” is awesome), as well as reset my Menaces - should I grind further? If yes, which is the better option?
Does anyone know what the floor is (or if there is one) for the random variation in Picking the Wreckers Cove? Even at RB9 I can’t get a value of 7+. It is… disappointing.
