Is it possible to pursue another ambition after completing one? Or do I need to make a whole brand new character JUST to follow a different storyline?
It is not possible to pursue another ambition after completing one.
There may eventually be a way to do this, but it is not available yet and there is no specified timeline.
They should make it possible (non-fate) to do another ambition upon the completion of one in future. All titles and rewards retained.
Then have a special unique reward for those who completed all the ambitions.
There is room for a Dangerous-Persuasive and a Watchful-Shadowy ambitions.
Don’t forget the secret ‘ambition’: Enigma. Smells like Watchful-Shadowy to me.
This does open a can of worms though. For example, the ambition-specific tattoos at the Feast of the Rose. The role of Lethean Tea-Leaves, which is a fate-only item but available once in the middle of the Light Fingers ambition. It allows you to switch ambition.
It does make it less annoying for those who picked an ambition with ‘inferior’ rewards, or didn’t like the storyline or mechanics.
There were plans, at one point, to provide an in-game way to progress through all of the Ambitions on a single account (although not quite the same character). This was called Metampsychosis and/or Meeting Your End. This project as it was originally conceived was cancelled in August of last year.
Right now the status of “some way to do other Ambitions” is that FBG acknowledges it is something many players would like. But there is no public information about any plans in that direction.
I definitely would like to see it happen, but the main problem I foresee is that the early part of Ambitions are designed as early-game content, both in terms of difficulty and in terms of plotting. The experience of e.g. discovering more about those mysterious characters of Virginia and the Bishop of St Fiacre in HD land a bit differently when the three of us already sit around the table every week and count out the thousands of moon-pearls we earn from the industrial conglomerate that we co-chair.
I’d find that amusing. Imagine picking up the discussion, and they look at you with disbelief that you’re picking up yet another challenge that would otherwise shake all of Fallen London.
In other news, I wonder which ambitions are classified as having inferior rewards, and which ones are classified as superior ones?
Anyone can follow Enigma. It’s not an ambition per se, not in the sense other are, and doesn’t conflict with any of them.

Since no-one else seems to want to answer, I’ll bite. For some time, there was a lot of clamor about Nemesis being by far the worst reward-wise, while Heart’s Desire had the best material rewards of the four. This has been improved quite a bit, and now Nemesis is pretty much at the level of Bag-a-Legend and Light Fingers; Heart’s Desire is still the best item-wise, but the difference is not so staggering now.
Keep in mind that this may depend very much on the particular endings you wish to pursue, as some of the end rewards (the Treasures, I mean) provide various opportunities which may make them more useful than the others. Or useful in a different way, at least - most Treasures have some uses in the advanced content, if only providing cosmetic changes, extra text or opportunities to obviate a challenge here and there. I feel that the Vake-Steed you may gain as part of Bag a Legend Ambition is the outlier here, as on top of numerous other uses, so far it is the only way to get Parabolan Defences of your Parabolan Base-Camp up to 4, providing you with probably the best way to reduce Nightmares outside a Hellworm.
Another thing to consider is that a lot of what is now a unique source of an advanced skill for a given slot may become one of several during the various seasonal festivals (this has already happened for some Ambition stuff, sometimes for Fate, sometimes not).
All considered, I’d recommend to go for the one that most suits your character concept, as in the long run the rewards are somewhat secondary…

Thanks for answering. I’m a pretty open-ended person, so its really difficult for me to choose >.<

Inside a Hellworm, it’s too hot to sleep.
