Repeating the mirror gives Memory of Much Lesser Self. I hope these things will be used in something evetually, and are not an elaborate joke.
>>>So the main limiting factor is probably wounds/disgruntlement. I actually wonder if the "optimal" expedition strategy is to run alllll the way out and force-march back with Disgruntlement. I also don’t know whether repeatedly building disgruntlement has compounding effects
No. Optimal strat is to go as far as your supplies allow without searching for additional supplies.
There is a little overhead for each expediton (hire companions, start) which makes short expeditions bad. Other than that reward scales linearly with distance. Optimally you need 2 supplies and 1 action for 1 distance. If you search for additional supplies it becomes 2 supplies, 1.5 actions and a bit of wounds/disgruntlement for 1 distance. It tanks EpA.
Which is not that high anyway, close to ~4. Btw A Lesser Find card is higher than 5 EpA, so its totally worth to play if you have excess supplies.

I’m impressed that London made it this far in its war. I’m curious what the Morloch line runs through on its way to Hell.
Maybe the real Memory of a Much Lesser Self was the friends we made along the way.
So, each monograph has some relevant items that give actual information, and everything else gives generic text. I also suspect the value changes too, but I forgot to note it.
Ok, this is much more fun. We could compile the chart, shall we?
Just got sent to the Mirror Marches from the Wellspring…do I need to go on an Expedition to the Wellspring again once I get out?
Maybe to the Waswood?
There are three things to do at Wellspring: get Glowing Viric, get Wellspring water, go into the mirror and emerge at you parabolan camp. Once you’ve done it you can return for more water, of for more Viric when it ends after a week.
Well, as it turns out, you can only get to the Two Willows from Crossing the Threshold.
And since I lost all the stuff I used to get to the Wellspring the First time, that probably means I’ll need to go on an expodition to find it again.

Your expedition ends when you enter the mirror.
When you return to Moulin, your team will be back already. Also, they will want to get paid.
There’s no leftovers at the Wellspring for you to collect. Though you can get more water and enter the mirror again (no additional story upon return there, as of yet, at least).
I’m slightly miffed by the whole “Step through the Great Mirror and immediately lose your fucking mind.” option being the first one.
I mean come on FB, we’ve all been to the WasWood before.

Huh? My only option was to go to the Willows directly. Think I’m missing something…
Oh, right, you had insufficient Glasswork.

So, Long Convoluted Plan to get to the Two Willows is as follows:
1: Go to London and grind as many Memories of Distant Shores as Possible.
3: Jump Into a Mirror, go to the Dome of Scales and Spend the Memories to raise my Glasswork to the maximum
3: Exit Parabola at Station VIII, take the train to Moulin, go on an Expedition to the Wellspring, walk through the Great Mirror and try not to go nuts.

Correction:
- buy a school of goldfishes in London instead of Memories, way cheaper;
- Raise Glass studies too, if you haven’t.
- You can exit in London as well, action cost is the same.
3.1 Upgrade you camp to the max, just in case.

I mean I’ve gotten at least 80 from the Hell-Scarred Gondolier’s card, so you’re basically right.
Do I understand correctly that the Well-Spring and the Waswood is pretty much the endgame for Moulin? We don’t get any unique items here, besides the Mood and the Water?
Does anyone have thoughts on the best equipment combo for expeditions? I’m only just starting them now, but so far I’ve seen I think all the main stats, plus Glasswork and Shapeling arts. Struggling with strategy for all-stat outfits in general.
Glasswork and SA should be devalued in your outfit arrangement, in my opinion. Focus on the main 4, and learn which assistants can help with what challenges.
My approach is to max out Persuasive and hire the Claw and the Navigator. This allows a guaranteed pass through the Viric River and the Clatter-something at a cost of 2 Supplies each; everything else I can manage.
I max persuasive and hire the cat and the octopus. Maximum resources, and in every hand I’m guaranteed to have a card with an automatic or 80+% success.
Yes, the Willows and Wellspring is the endgame. You get water, mood, mortification and finish a storyline, capping corresponding qualities.
Well, that’s a bit anticlimactic :( Maybe FBG will extend it further.
