So I completed one crab hunt, and can’t seem to start another one. How does this work? Did we already collectively fill up some worldwide quota to deplete the crab population? Or do we only get to hunt one per week or something? The option disappeared entirely so I can’t see any lock conditions.
Event started yesterday around 15 00. 9 hours later all (6500-7000) crabs were killed. That’s all. It will happen again. We don’t know when.

Okay, so we DID collectively fill up some worldwide quota to deplete the crab population. I guess I got in on it at the very end of the great crab hunt, then.
The hunting trip was fun. The rewards were far less satisfactory. Hopefully the next season would offer better trophies such as "Giant Pincers of a Deepzee Monster" which fetch better price at the markets, or perhaps just let the hunters salvage the corpses like the pinewood sharks. My kitchen at Station VIII could use some new recipes.

One thing that stood out to me is that you can sell Bottles of Airag in the Khanate, but you can’t buy them. This isn’t what I immediately expected, but on reflection it’s explainable. The Khanate doesn’t seem to actually have land for agriculture. We know that the Khanate and the Bazaar continued to have some relation after they departed the Fourth City, perhaps the latter’s access to mushroom farms formed a core axis of commerce between the two.
Airag is fermented horse milk. Not sure why you are talking about mushrooms
Zee hat is interesting, but it will be hard to get it with one bird.
