fair enough, it is easy to forget death, destitution, and general misery are a prevalent, almost unescapable reality for most of the population, and also most non-pc characters in-game

Here’s a crazy and crazily optimistic idea. There’s something good in the Sixth Coil which the Tigers want to share with event winners. They are trying to throw games because for whatever reason, they’re not interested in that good thing.
