Hi creators,
Three things,
- I’ve nearly finished a project; Magic Sushi.
- I noticed that, when The Thirst Frontier, my other project, won the Worlds of the Season competition, the number of players coming in quadrupled - I presume because it got a banner on the front page.
- I also noticed that people were really happy to pass around a promo for a Twine game I made on social media.
So - in the interests of linking more people who might like my project with it, I decided to knock up a promo in Twine. You can see it here. (If you want to hear the music, you have to open the link in Chrome or Explorer.)

So - next idea is for Failbetter.
I reckon it would be cool to be able to make this in Storynexus, if you guys ever thought to get around to that. (I’m guessing you’re very busy.) I think the key would be that potential players can experience a little slice without having to make an account etc. Might encourage new players etc? Just an idea. I have no idea if that’s possible.
Next thing is for creators.
If you would like me to write up how to do this, I’d be happy to do so. I won’t do so unless someone asks, however. It’s not difficult to make a little Twine promo but it does involve a lot of steps. If anyone would like a write up, or help, let me know.
Last thing.
Here are some other ways this could work. I’ve kept it very simple. I simply went with an orange colour that was similar to Storynexus. (I could easily make that the same if I new the actual hex.) I’ve added music and tiny screenshots from my game. They could be large. In fact, you could even load whole pages and make the buttons as links, if you turned it into a mappable image. (I know how to do that because I did it on another project, but I didn’t bother.) Currently, the last link goes nowhere. Soon, it will go directly to my game. You could do anything you could otherwise do in Twine, like make branching options, CSS, whatever.
So, yeah. Feedback on trailer, and trailer idea, much appreciated. If anyone wants "how to make a trailer in twine" written up, let me know.
