Certainly spoiler; but I’d appreciate either spoilers or a PM.

  • Has anyone tried sending their panther off with the Magician? I see this option, but am nervous that she might not return…

  • I assume that welcoming the Magician back on board when he does return is the path to the Serpentine engine - yes? If so, what needs to happen next for that to be available?

You can send your panther off with the magician, yeah. I tried it twice. [spoiler] Once neither of them came back, once both did. My guess is it gives the magician a bonus chance of success but at risk of losing your panther if it doesn’t work out.

Presuming the magician comes back safely, the next step is to go to the repair shipyard and build the engine, costs 800 echoes. If the Magician comes back . .wrong. . you’re out of luck on the engine (unless you alt-f4 and reroll)[/spoiler].
