How do we play knife & candle? I just watched a friend do a round on their character. But I can’t get it to go on mine. I thought we can’t play anymore? He was excited & only journaled the last bit but his profile is https://www.fallenlondon.com/profile/Deacon%20Bail

So, I am puzzled?

As far as I know K&C is not available right now, and my understanding is that its return is unlikely.

Edit: The gamekeeper’s cottage is still abandoned.

Knife and Candle is not available right now.

There’s one opportunity card about the game, which is the thing that was echoed on that profile. It’s this card, which unlocks with levels 2-4 of the Making Your Name sequence for the Dangerous quality: https://fallenlondon.fandom.com/wiki/A_Night_for_Knives_and_Candles

I’m not sure how Amber-Eyed’s friend was able to play a round of K&C; as Rachel said, K&C is currently inactive. Maybe what Amber-Eyed saw was a Lethal Sparring Bout? That’s a kind of duel you can fight by going to the &quotYour Social Engagements&quot area of the Map and choosing the storylet &quotAttend to Matters of Danger and Wounds.&quot You choose someone from your contacts list (or add them to your contacts list first) and ask them if they are interested in playing. As the text there says, &quot Whoever takes the best of three bouts will be the winner. The winner will claim Making Waves, a purse of Rostygold, and a Sanguine Ribbon. The loser will die, but gain a substantial number of Hard-Earned Lessons, and a larger bonus to their Dangerous.&quot

Even though Knife and Candle is currently unavailable, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will never return. It has existed in the game twice, and each of the two incarnations was very different from the other. However, given how much new content is coming down the pike right now, though, I would not expect to see K&C return in the near future.
