I’m surprised they didn’t make an in-game announcement or anything, but it’s here! We have journal tags! Dare I go through my whole back-journal tagging things? Not sure yet, but I’m pretty thrilled regardless.

The Journal improvements are amazing, this is a big difference and I love it.
But yes, a normal amount of tags is not the number that FBG thought it was. I hope this can be addressed, but I also understand it’s the sort of thing with bighuge impacts on the servers.
Yeah hang on, that won’t work if someone is trying to tag all their Exceptional Stories or major storylines or events.
Also, I do hope they add a text search - sometimes I’ll want to look up my exact Profession advancement text, but I hardly remember when that was.
I’m amazed that people are apparently actually going back through their whole huge journals to apply tags to everything… that sounds like a lot of work! I am far too lazy for such an effort 
The calendar feature means that putting all your exceptional stories in one tag should let you mostly jump to the right story if you’re looking for a particular one i think?
(I’m amused to note that one of the first things I saved to my journal was apparently the knife and candle rules)
No, I’m not an exceptional friend, I’ve just bought a few stories that sounded interesting. So I couldn’t just go to the first of each month and find them.
And for searching within an Exceptional Friend tag to work, I would still have to have all of them tagged already. Which would mean going through every single entry until I start finding mentions of the Swan Bride or the Carpenter’s Granddaughter.
