Well, I myself was curious to see what it wasn’t like. And then, I decided on something else.
I’m curious if the Immaterial Material is needed to access it, or just to embrace what Destiny is there. Because to me it seemed to be the latter.
AFAIK, for access it’s needed, but not consumed.
If you have finished Evolution I very much like the new option on the seekers of the garden card. The text is funny - quite light considering all Yara went through on her adventures, but it made me smile. And I can’t argue with the rewards that help with tribute. But maybe there are different card options for other players depending on the fate of the Naturalist? It requires Evolution 800 but I have 900.
I finished the destiny of our friend the Youthful Naturalist, and it has been an amazing time being lost in the possibility labyrinth of destines and futures that is the crossroads of Irem. One can get lost on those - and being lost in them is an amazing experience, trying to cartograph them is incredibly interesting, and tracing possible routes feels amazing. I always loved Irem and all the references to it when it appeared in any story, but actually going there is being even more amazing and thrilling than I’d expect. Amazing content.
Assuming you are referring to the Wiki: Generally “requires Evolution 800” means it requires at least Evolution 800 (which would thus include 900 and 1000). Otherwise it would say “requires Evolution exactly 800.” So no, it’s the same for all three endings.
On the topic of the new option, I have to say I’m loving the mechanical rewards!
I like that rewards vary as well.
I may be a bit late to the party, but wanted to share my thoughts on Irem.
I actually consider it to be among the most disappointing content in FL.
The idea is genius. When I started exploring Irem and figured out what the basic premise was (it is a map of sorts and you have to store specific cards) I was delighted. That is the kind of challenge I absolutely enjoy. So I fetched pen and paper and started mapping everything out. What Locations connected to which, what cards are available at locations etc.
I had a lot of fun doing that.
Then I tried to get to a specific location. I mapped out my path, made the first step, and then I failed the d__n 50/50 chance to draw the right card 12 TIMES in a row!
And since you can’ discard them, I wasted 2 hours worth of actions and was out of actions and hat to pick it up later again.
That was pretty frustrating, but I continued on. Only to have a that very same experience a while later again while trying to reach another location.
At that point, I just threw away my diagram and opened up a map on the wiki. My interest in mapping out the place had been entirely destroyed by RNG.
This content had so much potential and with less bad luck I would probably have loved it and counted it among my favourites, but so it was mostly disappointing.
While I do hope for more mechanically interesting content like this in the future, please with less RNG.
