If you want to keep an Exceptional Story?

I just recently subscribed.

There is a Story/Card called &quotThe Season of Celebrations&quot
The Season of Celebrations
An Unctuous Official is planning a special celebration for Her Enduring Majesty…

I clicked it & then got the following:
Unlock For All the Saints Who from Their Labours Rest
The Church is planning an ‘All Saints Fete’: a celebration featuring the unique saints of the Neath. It promises to be beneficial for the soul.
This is the Exceptional Story for September 2018. Be sure to play this branch before September 27th, when our next Exceptional Story unlocks!

I then clicked on it & got:
When the saints come marching in
You have unlocked this Exceptional Friend story. It begins with ‘An Embossed Envelope’ – available anywhere in London.
You have unlocked September’s Exceptional Story! You may play it at your leisure.
Look for a story titled ‘An Embossed Envelope’ anywhere in London!

I now have a Story/Card called:
An Embossed Envelope
It lands on your mat with an authoritative thump…

Due to the fact that I got the message:
&quotYou have unlocked September’s Exceptional Story! You may play it at your leisure.&quot

Q#1:
Does this mean I have correctly met the requirements for the below statement:
&quotIf you want to keep an Exceptional Story beyond the month it’s for, you must complete the related storylet in the current Season’s card throughout London. This will save it for you to return to another time.&quot

Q#2:
Am I correct that even if i go no further in An Embossed Envelope, that I can go back to it in 2019 & could still play it right?

Q#3:
What is the difference between the The Season of Celebrations & An Embossed Envelope?

 • An Embossed Envelope is an Exceptional Story, correct?[/li][li]The Season of Celebrations is a 'collection of 3 Exceptional Stories of which An Embossed Envelope is the first one of three?

Q#4:
Will I inadvertently &quotlock&quot myself out of the Exceptional Story for October 2018 if I do not finish An Embossed Envelope before October?

Q#5:
Approximately, how many actions does it take to complete an Exceptional Story? I am mainly trying to get a generalized amount of effort needed to go through one so I can plan my actions spent accordingly.

Q#6
As a brand new player with only 1 character, will I be able to progress through this story now or will i be lacking significant Stats, Items, unlocks, quantities of items, etc…that I should put this on a back-burner for a much later date?

Thanks,
1stHeretic

It means you can literally play it as long as the site isn’t taken down, nor your account removed.

The Enveloppe itself is the current Story, the Season spans 3 Stories, with a reward at the end.

You will not lock any other ES by putting another one on hold. You can even buy all past ES and play them at random through one another without consequences.

Q5 depends, I’d estimate between 30 and 60, and for Flint well over 100…

Q6 You will be able to progress, ES are meant for players who want more lore! The challenges are usually low and the areas required to be accessed are usually the 4 starting areas. Perhaps also one or two advanced ones, but that isn’t too usual and if there are, the story unlocks temporary way there quite often. (example for Flint you need to go Overzee, but you can buy a ticket for a boat or take your own boat)

Cheers, and have lots of fun Heretic!

Q#1: Yes, you’re good.

Q#2: Yes, that is indeed correct.

Q#3: Correct again.

Q#4: No!

Q#5: It depends. It varies between stories, and sometimes there are profitable options that can be repeated. So, there’s no finite answer to this one. But usually, I’d say between 40-60 actions.

Q#6: ES are for all players, so you’re fine here, too. In fact, it’s more exciting - and often more profitable, too - to play ES on newish accounts.

I’ll just leave you a link to this post where I explained the workings of FL subscriptions before. Hope everything’s clear now! :)

:edit: beat by 15 seconds! Curse you, Honeyaddict :P ;)
Link works now, too.
