I have been following the Intimate of Devils storyline. I thought I could chance another visit from the Deviless, but you probably know what happened. My luck ran out, and I ended up with one of two copies of an Infernal Contract.
What now? edited by Sir Wensleydale of Hardwick on 2/4/2019
You’ll begin getting an uncommon card associated with your loss of a soul, which contains a fate-locked option to begin a quest to recover it. Alternately, you can open a lot of bundles of oddities and hope you get one particular result. Your best bet is the one from the One’s public card, which gives you a 1/200 chance of reclaiming your soul, but it’s possible with any bundle of equivalent or higher value.
Well, at least you concluded the Intimate with the Devil story and you’ll be free of those cards!
Here’s an old post with the possible way to get your Soul back.
Yeah, I’m rather tempted to do that myself. I opted to finally trade my soul for a fabulous diamond around Christmas to unlock the lodging upgrade, so they’re not presently pestering me, but I do want to reacquire it eventually, and I may just have to let the Deviless have it next simply to rid myself of their attentions for good.
I did find the "A devil’s taken a shine to you" card very useful for farming Hell favors while I was still raising renown, though. Now, not so much. edited by Tsar Koschei on 2/4/2019
What stories are unlocked without a soul?
None as far as I recall, though there are a few changes. Most usefully (in my opinion), "A Gift from the Capering Relicker" (SiC) now has an option to gain 300 Souls and 20 Infernal Contracts. This can be useful for dealing with the Brass Ambassador and is very profitable for Shepherds of Souls. There’s also the uncommon opportunity card pondering the loss of your soul, which is mostly for quirk adjustments, and the brief Fate story for regaining your soul. Some of the Summerset content at the University is different for the soulless due to societal discrimination as well.
