Heart's Desire Update soon?

I was recently looking through my profile when I noticed that the Heart’s Desire Quality had changed. Instead of just being Heart’s Desire 18 it’s been extended. I know this is really reaching but could it mean an update is coming soon?
EDIT: Also I’ve displayed it on my scrapbook

Oooh, that’s definitely promising. Updates for Heart’s Desire and Light Fingers are definitely in the works, so I don’t think it’s reaching at all.

!!!
(extended ulalatingggggg)
Actually I’m just going to paste what I wrote here - lots of Heart’s Desire future speculation below, probably all spurious! (I can take the quotes out if they’re too much :?)
so far we know the seven players are

[ul][li]yourself
[/li][li]Cardsharp Monkey
[/li][li]Bishop of St Fiacre
[/li][li]Topsy King
[/li][li]Manager of the Bethlehem
[/li][li]??
[/li][li]??
[/li][/ul]

[spoiler]
From the relevant mirror in the carnival, one other player is a “scarred pale woman”. Someone else is also present, if you were unfortunate: “A hunched figure in a soggy and mouldering cassock, like a drowned priest. Why is he taking notes?”
The final player should be a Master (Spices? Apples?), distinct from the last guy, given this quote from a Clay Priest: “THE MASTERS USED TO MAKE PACTS. NOW THEY FAVOUR CHANCE. THE MARVELLOUS IS THEIR GAME. CAN THEY GRANT YOU THE DESIRE OF YOUR HEART?”
Spices: not friendly but very likely, given the mentions of a Honey-Lord in the past game of the marvellous on A Card Game from the Nadir, when you try to deal yourself in.
Cups/Mirrors is possible, if only bc who else would be the khan of dreams of the fourth city? (I used to assume that was Spices, which…isn’t entirely eliminated by “The Honey-Lord awaits its alignment! The Khan of Dreams requires its conjunction!”) But while learning about the Topsy King, they do mention &quota child’s rhyme about Mirrors and the Topsy King&quot, and a Master with a cup was there for the First City’s transaction. Mirrors advanced you a hefty fraction of the first city coins stake, ‘wishes you good fortune’ and is ‘certain you’ll remember him.’ Does Cups really have that many Irons in the Fire?
Apples/Hearts is known to be fond of games of chance, which we saw when gambling for the majestic pleasure-yacht. I’m banking on this being the master who plays with us, because Apples really needs more love – there isn’t as much content-wise with it, compared to the other masters – Spices provoked Jack of Smiles, and Cups/Mirrors has Nemesis coming up sometime. (maybe there’d be more if the Widow is ever expanded upon? but I feel that getting East in FL is going to take a while.)

More Baseless Guessing from the hints in the post about ambitions – the other two hints are probably for Light Fingers, given the roof and moon misers and the blind cartographer we met outside the orphanage, plus the previous hints were also in order of planned update.
The Secret in the Sock: the Hundred directed us back to Spite, which is kinda close to the Flit and the Knotted Sock urchins, so that’s a possible link. (When I chose this ambition over Light Fingers, I intended my character’s heart’s desire to be a very shiny diamond anyway, which is what the Hundred is also seeking! SHINY SHINY SHINYS HINYSHINYYY mr shine him diamond) what :[
Virginia’s beloved: the Prince of Corpsecage:
Virginia hindered the player on the search for the correspondence stones, which could lead back to the topsy king and his studies/the masters. She also “specialises in the souls of the learned and curious’, and the very first thing we learnt about Heart’s Desire is that “The bit about gambling your soul is bound to be an exaggeration. Surely.”
Corpsecage island has the archeological detritus of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th cities, with ‘valuable caches’ of people like various revolutionaries, escaped criminals, Karl Marx, and sad rubbery chaps. The First City is represented by the Manager, so it’d be interesting to see if there’re players here to represent another Fallen city. The soggy hooded figure may be a drownie, or even Mr Eaten, since there was someone holding a candle who was present for the deal for the first City, but there’s no evidence that Candles played the Marvellous.
At any rate, I’d love any sort of update! But in the meantime I have my own arm to chew off, and a few batches of first city coins to spare for anyone that needs help, and I will also pay you to pay me to steal from the Museum of Mistakes, which I haven’t visited before.
Finally, some former participant testimonies here and here.
(and there’s been a full stop missing on the end of the violet, ivory option, for quite a while? Should that go to bug reports)

Thumbs up for:

  1. the Thud reference;

  2. the extended ululating

I thought the Khan of Dreams had revealed, at the end of

the Silver Tree, that he was also / to be known as Mr Wines?

Right before the Carnelian Coast was unlocked, someone noticed: http://community.failbettergames.com/topic19945-carnelian-coast-coming.aspx

I’m really hoping you are correct! Although with the exceptional friend stories, getting myself kicked out of court, and becoming a colonial governor, I don’t think I can complain about a lack of content. :)

I’m not sure, but I only remember seeing him being named as the cloaked emissary and Mr. Wines? Was it Lettice who has a quote to link them both?

He explicitly confirms his identity in at least one of the Silver Tree endings.

It is the only piece of text I saved from my only game all these years ago, but I second this.

Yeah I remember in the &quotThrow in your lot with the Cloaked Emissary&quot ending, He explicitly says he is Mr Wines.

I did see that he calls himself Mr. Wines in the Silver Tree ending–it’s just him being called the Khan of Dreams that I was unsure of, and I’m convinced now, having seen the airag option from the wedding preparations and that nadir card. (also I got mixed up by the Khan o Drums.) Blarrr— well, Wines has always had his gaming hells and revels. I’m still holding out for Apples’s participation, though.[li]As for the Honey-Lord, it occurs to me that devils are curiously absent for an affair that involves the players’ souls. I’d rather have Virginia over Spices.[/li][li]

Huzzah for further Heart’s Desire! I only just got to the end of it last week, so it’ll be great to have more.

I’d say that’s a yes!
