Grand Geode or Irem?

[li]I am planning on making my kingdom to get the Past Wrapped in Shadow achievement, and I need to decide on who I ask for help to protect against sunlight.
[li]

[li]The problem with Grand Geode is that I need a bigger boat to house enough crew/supplies. I have 2 more easy tasks for the First Curator (Cinder and Weeping Scar), but I don’t really want to give up my Forward Gun slot for a fancy ship. The wiki also mentioned that using Dawn’s Law to found the Kingdom is bugged, but that message may be out of date.[li]
[li]The problem with Irem is getting Pages to 100. I guess that I can farm Iron Republic reports for possible Pages boosts, but it is unreliable, and I need a trip back to London each time. Mangrove College is also pretty close, so I can farm beachcombing for Outlandish Artefacts and fragments to make Secrets.

[li]Which path is more straightforward? Which would you recommend?[/li][li]

To farm pages, keep on making acuariums.

I assume you already finished playing chess then… since you have passed along something Apocyan…

It’s been quite a while since I accepted the yacht… at the time it was definitely a game-breaker since I lost my frigate… not sure if that has been changed… a yacht that you could SWAP into and out of would be awesome.[/li]

I did the beginning part of the Chess match already. I still need to finish it, but I have most of the parts available.

I gave away Pigmote’s Blue Scintillack , after they gifted me with it for helping them stay indepentant. I’ll get another one from the Iron Republic soon enough.

The Serene Aquarium increases Mirrors. Monstrous Almanac does Pages.

My map is very… unique compared to what I am used to. It has been a very fortunate run.

Directly east of London is the Labrynth of Eels, and Pigmote. North of that is the Salt Lions and south is Shepherd’s Wash. (I always seem to have Phospenge Bleaks and Demauxe Island nearby, but Demeaucx is very far). Nothing too useful in the direct proximity to those.

East of the Iron Republic is the Fantomking’s Hold (easy access to Fluke Cores), followed directly by the Mangrove College (Easy Judgement Eggs)

Irem is bordered by Frostfound, the Khanate (easy Coffee for Irem), and the Chelonate. I have the shop unlocked in the Khanate (dumb luck through helping a stranger twice), along with a fully upgraded Spy Network. I also lucked out with 5 visits to the side street, getting me Violant Ink, the watchful curio (which I then upgraded in neighboring Polythreme), and 3 longboxes (traded one for a Heartmetal Ingot for Port Cecil, but I have not delivered it yet).

The Isle of Cats is diagonally next to Kingeater Castle. I don’t feel like going that far for Honey…

Many of my usual stops are in weird places, but islands that I am used to going a long distance for are very close. I already have all the major, non-static ports mapped (too lazy to approach Grand Geode or Port Carnelian until I need to go there).

If I sell off my 16 Heirlooms, I can probably get the Dreadnaught and still have thousands left, but I don’t want to. I’m saving them for the Salt run. I can easily upgrade my ship when the time comes. I just prefer the firepower right now.

I’m also having trouble getting the Campaigner’s story to pop. I ate with her already, but she is just not feeling ill. I have 3 Mutersalt, 2 Zzoup, 5 Solacefruit (I keep finding them), Stone’s Attention, several Secrets, and several Judgement Eggs ready to speed-upgrade her. It has been a very lucky run so far.
I also have 2 Fluke Cores sitting in my hold, gathering dust. And the Unsettling Sage, who I can use to easily convert Distant Shores to Zee Tales, in case I need emergency access to Fantomking’s Hold or more Mutersalt.

For Dawn’s Law, I need to find about 5 more Searing Enigmas for the Dread Surmise (plus one more for my desired ending, getting me the last Legacy). That will be the hard part.[li]
