well. its nearing the end.
what happened if you are still in mutton island when the carnival finishes ? (no POSI). will there be a return to london option that removes the carnival quality if youre still there?

I imagine you’d be forced back to your Lodgings automatically.

I think the Mutton Island ferry option actually is unlocked by Sights at the Feast, so can you stay on the island as long as you want and leave via that (which removes the Sights quality so no more free zailing for you). Needless to say, the Ferry option in London will disappear if it hasn’t already.

I am on the island and there is indeed an option for the ferry to return to London. Shame – that’s five actions I have to spend. Ah well.
Just to confirm the obvious: the ferry option in London is now gone.
Like, I might be wrong, but I don’t remember any wild guessing?
Those opposed to the Bishop accused him of wanting to start another war with Hell. That was 100% accurate. They said the Devils were backing him because they wanted him to win. This was a fairly reasonable interpretation of events - there is a faction in the Embassy that wants another war and is even willing to let their Embassy get bombed. They charged he was too obsessed with the issue of the Devils and the soul trade to be an effective Mayor. Well, if you think the soul trade is the single most important issue, then that charge was nonsense, but if you think it’s just one problem among many, it’s a fair charge. I think a few people accused the Bishop of being too much of a hot head? He does have a temper.
Those opposed to the Contrarian accused him of being a flipflopping dilettante. He plays such a role at parties and in the newspapers, so it was a fair charge. A deeper critique was that he was too tied to the Revolutionaries for his own good - an issue that became all the more contentious after February showed up (I don’t think she hijacked the campaign btw, but it was a fairly reasonable thing for people to think). The Contrarian was also charged with being uncaring towards the Rubberies and Clay Men - and you know, even if he had good reasons, he kind of was (his supporters pasting up posters of the Bishop as a Rubbery right and his casual back and forth on Clay rights). People said he had no experience running anything like a government - this wasn’t true, but we didn’t know that at the time.
Those opposed to Jenny thought she was a fundamentally selfish and dishonest person. Well, she poisoned people during the Feast of the Exceptional Rose, she blackmailed former customers during her campaign, and she has a Nixonian enemies/dirty tricks list…so, there is very good reason to think that. Her critics doubted her promises to help people. In light of aforesaid dishonesty it was reasonable to doubt them. They warned that she was in the pocket of the Masters. Well, Mr Wines overtly backed her campaign in its first stages and covertly afterwards, making her the only candidate with Master backing. She was accused of wanting to create a Tammy Hall in the Office of Public Works. She is planning to staff the new department with her friends, supporters, and fellow Bohemians.
So, where was the wild guessing?
I suspect this thread should no longer be stickied.
Well suspected!
