Fret Not For Disabled Achievements...

Since the achievements are currently disabled, I randomly thought up some of my own! Feel free to add and whatnot.

  • Save a postman from their fate in Nuncio. (Clarify: Not the rat!)

  • Make fun of the Revenue Man for not confiscating your Red Honey shipment.

  • Become a candle.

  • &quotSAY, didn’t you leave port a minute ago? Why are you back so soon?&quot

  • Find The Eye…
    -… and dive into it.

  • Acquire your Father’s Bones…
-… without resorting to unsavory hungers.

  • Leave London in ruins and don’t look back.

  • Overthrow The Trai- … Her Enduring Majesty.

  • Worship the Sun god…
-… and, perhaps, die to it.

  • Give up everything…
    -… and still win.

  • Defeat Mt. Nomad.

  • Kill the Eater-of-Names.

  • Capsize the Constant Companion.

  • Burn the Tree of Ages.

  • Democratize death.

  • Write a masterpiece. Don’t retire.

  • Have a puff of the best cigar ever.

  • Craft the Bazaar’s bizarre rocket ship.

  • Eat an apple.

  • Eat a white fish.

  • Have some free sherry…

  • … repeatedly.

  • Inherit your Father’s Bones. Go on, try it.

  • Go North…

  • … and keep going.

  • Transport 500+ sphinxstone in one captain’s lifetime.

  • Edit the game files.

  • Successfully edit the game files.

  • Recruit nobody

  • … and introduce them to Nobody.

  • Buy a glim-light and realize it’s true potential.

  • Equip a ship with 3 guns.

  • Steer with the maximum efficiency of 65% at once.

  • Legitimately consider the moral choices you’re presented with.

  • Trade 100+ units of coffee at once when they only needed 1 more.

  • Go mad.

  • Eat your crew.

- Die.

  • Die again.

  • Die again. Again.

  • Die again, perhaps underwater this time. You gotta keep it interesting, you know.

Umm, I have a few questions about going for some of those achievements… (bold and in italics)

  • Save a postman from their fate in Nuncio. (Clarify: Not the rat!)

You can do that? I thought it was just a really bad post office where nothing could be done.

  • Become a candle.

How?

  • Find The Eye…
    -… and dive into it.

Apparently diving into the eye is less terrifying than zailing above it.

  • Overthrow The Trai- … Her Enduring Majesty.

Is that Anarchist or Dawn Machine supremacy?

  • Defeat Mt. Nomad.
  • Kill the Eater-of-Names.
  • Capsize the Constant Companion.
  • Burn the Tree of Ages.

Did all that :P

  • Democratize death.

Immortality questline?

  • Craft the Bazaar’s bizarre rocket ship.

That’s a quest? Where the hell do I find that? Unless you mean the Merchant Venturer and his bizarre plan to escape via Avid Horizon

  • Have some free sherry…
  • … repeatedly.

Chapel of Lights?

  • Go North…
  • … and keep going.

You end up in Frostfound or Avid Horizon… then you go mad and eat your crew if you try that again… which makes the last few achievements easier

  • Transport 500+ sphinxstone in one captain’s lifetime.

There’s a problem with the Sphinxstone achievement: The number of shipments are limited. I think the best you can get in one lifetime, if you’re lucky is about 200-250 units.

  • Equip a ship with 3 guns.

Not giving up my Suppressor :P

  • Steer with the maximum efficiency of 65% at once.

You mean normal steering?

  • Legitimately consider the moral choices you’re presented with.

The easiest achievement of all. Everything you do is the correct one.
Done most of this already!
Since the achievements are currently disabled, I randomly thought up some of my own! Feel free to add and whatnot.

  • Democratize death.

Haven’t finished the Ambition yet, but on my way!

  • Write a masterpiece. Don’t retire.

Just need to get around to it.

  • Eat a white fish.

Is this referring to the Mollyflower? If so, already done.

  • Inherit your Father’s Bones. Go on, try it.

Naturalist, right?

  • Buy a glim-light and realize it’s true potential.

???

  • Steer with the maximum efficiency of 65% at once.

Lies! The maximum possible efficiency is actually 145%. Get your facts right :)
Ever brought a Blemmigan along?

  • Become a candle.

How?

[A RECKONING SHALL NOT BE POSTPONED INDEFINITELY]

  • Craft the Bazaar’s bizarre rocket ship.

Rocket ship isn’t quite accurate, but heard of the Stone Pigs?

  • Have some free sherry…
  • … repeatedly.

Chapel of Lights?

Pretty sure this is referring to the Philanthropist.

  • Transport 500+ sphinxstone in one captain’s lifetime.

There’s a problem with the Sphinxstone achievement: The number of shipments are limited. I think the best you can get in one lifetime, if you’re lucky is about 200-250 units.

Entirely doable. The number of shipments may be limited, but the shipment size doesn’t affect when you get locked out and the number of shipments is partially random. Excluding partial shipments I count a potential maximum of 1100 Sphinxstone for one captain.

  • Steer with the maximum efficiency of 65% at once.

You mean normal steering?

Fuel efficiency, I think.
So how does one become a candle? Is this a reference to the going East thing? Going East makes you a candle in the end?

Also Stone Pigs? Ok now is this a reference to the Impeller? I don’t recall any sort of quest to help build a rocket unless you count the Merchant Venturer.

I didn’t realise you could overall carry that much Sphinxstone. I thought the game limited it at random and since every shipment is 20 units, it would end at 200 or something if you keep going back for more.
It sounds like I should bring a cargo ship next time and just load up on stones or something.

Oh here’s ideas for suggestions:

Go find yourself a watery grave with The Lady.

Sharpen yourself in all areas at least twice.

Impound the Irrepressible. Bonus points if you do that AND take on the Constant Companion at the same time, then immediately take on the Tree of Ages and the Eater Of Names (if the Chelonate is close enough) with a nice round trip to Mt. Nomad. All without stopping to repair or refuel.

And if you want impossible:
Deplete a ship of its crew and not its hull.
Good luck.

A suggestion of my own: burn the Tree of Seasons.
So how does one become a candle? Is this a reference to the going East thing? Going East makes you a candle in the end?

Pray.

Yep, the Impeller. The Stone Pigs move the Bazaar between stars.

The game does limit it at random. Each time you turn in Sphinxstone, you gain 1 to 5 Deliveries from the Salt Lions. When that goes over 10, you are asked to make the final delivery. Shipments are purchased 20 units at a time but you can deliver any number at once.
I found this little secret randomly, as not even the wiki acknowledges it!

HINT: A postman can only leave Nuncio if they are on a delivery. For his to occur, you must ‘deliver’ something to Nuncio first.

After you accomplish this, you may discover their gratitude elsewhere…

So you’re saying we deliver a postman from their fate? ;)[/li]

No need to ferry them away, they will leave by themselves. They’re stuck on Nuncio because they can’t deliver what doesn’t have an address.

Of course, if a letter were to have an address… they could leave. Preferably forever.

A more-less subtle hint: Deliver something to Nuncio. This delivery, however, isn’t for the people residing there.

I was using a slightly different definition of the word &quotdeliver&quot :P

Achievements have been fixed, but I won’t be dissuaded!

  • Raise Supremacy: The Anarchists to 10… without triggering the Dark Streets event from visiting London!

  • Collect 3 or more legacy items with a single captain!

  • Have a rubbery man investigate the Drowned Ones!

  • Raise all Supremacies to 7… then visit London!

  • Get a burning prize for propagation… twice!

= Bring independence to Pigmote Island!

  • Survive Adam’s Way Passage!

  • Keep a part of the Snow Child to remember them by!

  • Remain unfazed in Dahut!

  • Reach the end of the gullet in Nook!

  • Bring Wrack back to it’s former glory!

  • Donate to Scrimshander! Several times, perhaps!

  • Sell the Momenta Mori! Or better yet, sell it twice! With the same captain?!

A few of my own conception:

NOBODY – They’ve begun to call you Sacker of Cities.
(Destroy 5 cities in one lifetime).

FINGER SANDWICHES – A fine and dainty dish, indeed.
(Dine on a King).

ENOBARBUS – You took a match to dry kindling.
(Speak, and she will burn).

GALLBLIGHT – Perhaps they will get along.
(Bring wasps to a beehive).

CARBONEK – You’re not that sort of king.
(Take precautions against the lance).
