Thanks! I have a similar Q about hangover of the century but I’ll ask in a more appropriate place.
I see it now
Tatterdemalion Han Solo
Last Duchess Princess Leia
Retainers R2D2 and C3PO
Forlorn Shephard Obi-Wan Kenobi
I suppose that makes the player character Luke?
Who’s Chewbacca? An Overgoat?
I mostly don’t get the story nor the consequences of my actions.
I don’t trust dreams. I don’t trust the Prisoner of Zenith after revealing itself from the Pastor’s skin and the fatalism with which it spoke of the Pastor’s final fate. It seems as careless towards lesser beings as is typical of its master’s kin. I deliberately picked Treacherous when asked what it looks like and I feel I got some confirmation from the Last Duchess’s comments while viewing memories.
Is my understanding correct that I can subvert its freedom by only removing one memory?
Also I’m genuinely tempted to remove the memory of Love because it seems manipulative towards my character.
I lke the fact that the story rouses emotion in me but I’m not sure FBG were going for “make players spiteful towards the Immanent because he is so poorly explained”.
If you remove all the memories, the Immanent doesn’t leave its prison, because it’s lost its motivation for doing so.
If you want to remove only one memory, it has to be the memory of Stars, and you need The Lost Shepard at 25 and Hollowed at 1; this will result in the Immanent merging with the Shepard, which it doesn’t sound like what you want. Of course, if you do meet these requirements, they will also merge even if you take two memories.
Just in case you are a collector of all the things who has been to Zenith but has not yet acquired a panoptical skull, the Rat Market has eyeless skulls available this weekend for the dipping. This finally gave me a reason to go back to the RM since the redesign, yay!
You can also get that thing if you keep on digging at the Forgotten Quarter.
