According to the wiki you get that a card when the duchess is with you (and you’re working against the Saint’s Day march) regardless of who’s in charge of Burgundy at the time. She still disapproves even though she ain’t the boss.

Heads up for any players looking to get the new companion - it looks like there might be a bug that lets you click the “Prove your usefulness” branch a second time after you’ve already progressed that story, which has no gameplay effect but does take away another 12,500 stonebark.
What do you mean I’m back to getting the “A Duchess’ Disapproval” card in Burgundy despite Max being Duke?!?
I just realized she was not with me as the first officer … until the end of this chapter. If you finished the chapter, that’s what changed. She’s again travelling close enough to disapprove in person.

Come to think of it, the name makes more sense now too. It means something to the effect of a costume of ragged clothing. That sure fits not just the facts, but also the attitude of carrying guilt about being a higher-Chain being and diminishing himself to accomplish his misison. The attitude part doesn’t seem to be true for the similar situations we’ve seen: neither the Immanent nor the Red Queen seem so put-out by inhabting the Shepherd or Summer.

Being hit by my accumulated guilt is incidentally the first death since I got my Cider. Truly, guilt is but an inconvenience to my character.

Once more, the Tower moved from Burgundy to Queeneater’s. I wonder if those are the only two possible locations or if it’s just the RNG being funny.
I thought I read it can go anywhere you have a trading post, so I would expect Zenith and the Sous eventually. If the pattern holds, they should all take items you can acquire from Old Resurrection’s contact at that roof location.

I forgot to check in with my crew before I resolved things with the creditor, the drummer, the princess, Virginia et al. And then it was too late to backtrack and talk to them all because it was decision time. Now I am back at Stonegift. Does anyone have the echoes for what they all said at that point?
