So I have played Fallen London and recently secured my Promotion from Author to Correspondent and found myself with no way ask my contacts “In-Universe”, so I am here.
Am I correct in saying that as Correspondent, it’s my job to Adjust Reality to the Client’s needs?

Your job is to be a scientist of the correspondence (I think, I’ve never been one)

I’d probably put it this way:
If you’re Epistolant, your job is mostly to understand and decipher, and sometimes to command.
If you’re Crimson Engineer, your job is mostly to create the tools to command, and sometimes to decipher.
If you’re neither yet, well, you sometimes command, sometimes decipher.
