Since now we have quite a few more stat to consider aside the canonical Persuasive/Watchful/Dangerous/Shadowy and B/D/R, wouldn’t it be nice to have more slot to customize equipment?
I’ll see as and UI improvement (less boring clicks).
What do you think? Could it be done? Would it be useful or am I overanalysing?
I would love an explanation about why it’s not happening though. To my (untrained) eye, it seems very easy. If we’re told there are mechanical difficulties we would stop moaning (probably).
True. Everyone would love at least one more outfit slot for maxing BDR, for sure. I’d also repeat that something like a drop-down menu somewhere to the right of the main game window, perhaps under the travel button, for quick changing of outfits, instead of needing to switch to an entirely new tab, would be a great addition. edited by Thanos Black on 5/6/2020
I think we could make do with 6. The four we already have, plus one for BDR, plus one for boosting the new stats (Monstrous Anatomy, Kataleptic Toxicology, A Player of Chess, Glasswork). But since Seven is the Number, 7 might be more appropriate.
640k ought be enough for everybody.
Seriously though, any limit will likely be too limiting for somebody eventually. 4 was already not enough when costumes were implemented, and that was before even BDR, iirc.
One of my biggest gripes with this system is that you cannot change what you are wearing right now without messing with your "saved" costumes. edited by xKiv on 5/6/2020

Outfits are a very recent addition, actually. Having 4 definitely cuts on the tedium, but still I have to get creative to avoid shuffling my entire wardrobe. I’ve found setups where I can switch between max BDR and near-max shadowy by only changing three items, but it’s still clunky and I would prefer to have my max BDR outfit be more roleplay-y.
The only possible obstacle to more equipment that I can think of is server storage space, but considering the game already tracks hundreds of qualities for each character I struggle to see how a few equipment loadouts would be worse than that.
I too hate switching between tabs but bringing outfits to the front seems much more challenging in terms of game design.
Making the Outfits 7 (one for each stat, one for BDR, one for the new stats and one because seven is the number) seems much more logical. Let’s see if this is the thread that gets us an answer!
