"Mess with the Smile, get the teeth" (getting Annoyance to Jack of Smiles up to 3) loses one Favour rather than dropping a Connection. (That’s gonna be a fairly brutal occurrence for future players once all those Connection drops are replaced with Favour loss.)
Completing Counting The Days and cashing in for First City Coins costs 3 Favours.
Completing Counting The Days and cashing in for First City Coins costs 3 Favours.
Does it still give just 20 First City Coins (and a point of Suspicion)?
It’s hard to be certain for sure because it involves Airs (and it’s possible that the Airs values on the wiki are not accurate) but it seems that this option has accidentally fallen by the wayside during the changeover. Could anyone confirm?
I was going to raise a ticket with FB but given their work load lately I don’t want to hassle them needlessly if I simply overlooked it.
That branch was deliberately retired as part of the Favours and Renown rework; it’s possible it will return in some form when we apply those changes to the Great Game.
Thank you for confirming. I guess the other “Trade connections” options will also be discontinued until the Great Game is implemented (unless, of course, the Great Game is the next one to be implemented)
I’m delighted to discover the above-10 Steadfast gain from arranging an escape; I’ve languished for a while trying to find a way to raise that particular quirk to the Zone of Bigness.
It lowers Heartless. Fortunately for me, that’s not one of mine.
Cool! Steadfast is hard to find repeatable sources for over 10. For Heartless, you can always be a horrible friend to the Sardonic Music-Hall Singer over and over.
If you’ve still got the fate portion of the Velocipede squad, Steadfast is easy actually, there’s a repeatable non-card based source that goes up to 15. [/endofftopic]
Yeah, that’s why I haven’t finished that part of Velocipede Squad yet… but it would be nice to wrap it up and have another option available, even if it’s a high-Renown option. Plus the Velocipede Squad is actually too easy, it feels a bit like cheating.
Yeah, I feel the same about the up-to-15 Magnanimous gain I get from rescuing souls. I mean, my character is supposed to be Magnanimous, but it’s quite easy. That said, a means of keeping it high without fearing random untelegraphed mini-nukes is still valuable. There’s also the whole ‘confess your mercy’ thing, which I’m not sure has been scaled against the new quirks system yet…
I wonder…Would it be possible for higher levels of renown to increase the maximum number of favours held? It seems like something that would make sense and could be beneficial in the long run. Just a thought.
