Eyeless Skull, and the Cave of Nadir in general

Y’know: wow. I never realised that was a possible use of second chances. Thanks!

[li]

2 weeks getting my intimate with a Fiery Revolutionary up, 1 week finding another skull (I already had a cinder), and a day or two gathering everything from tools to warm amber - then I finally got to go into the Cave of the Nadir.

And… I blew through it in about 10-12 actions. Wow.

Of course I am going to have to go back in again to get everything, but I certainly wish someone had bothered to properly explain everything to me. I wanted to avoid spoilers on the wiki so naturally I went in blind. Still, I went away with a good haul and eager for another trip.

10-12 actions is a good long dive, for the Cave of the Nadir!

Ok, maybe it was more like 5-7 - my memory from that place was a bit faded afterwards.

I thought we answered the question you did ask quite comprehensively, but henceforth I for one will cleave to higher standards.

fallenlondon.storynexus.com/a/{the name Mr Iron used in the Fourth City, without spaces or enclosing curly brackets}.

(Super-supererogatory protip: you won’t be able to guess, but may have encountered it in the Cave.)

Ya, I really have no idea about Mr. Iron’s identity. I did not encounter anything like a master - all I did was draw and use cards.

The answer is on one of the cards, though it’s not made explicit.

My mind is temporarily addled by a passing access of generosity, so here goes: would anyone like a skull?

I’m not posting this in ‘The Singing Mandrake’, since I’ll probably find a taker quicker here.

Aaand it’s gone.

I also have skulls to spare if anyone wants some.

Edit: all gone.

What the… Begone!

<sigh>

I have another spare skull…

Inpiun - is that skull still available?? I’d be happy to take it off your hands if so!

Sorry, its gone.

That’s odd - it should have zeroed after the first week. Might want to file a bug report, there.

That sounds like a bug, Luke. You should lose it a week after visiting the cave.

Need a skull. Brain not necessary. I gave mine up because a card said it was decreasing my skills. Duh. Now I need it. Help?

EDIT: skull’s gone

Thank you, Spacemarine!!

Just a tip for those holding on to skulls and getting stuck with point drain cards. If you hold on to the polite invitation cards you will lose the skulls when you go to the party. I would assume the same works for going Zailing, but I haven’t tried it out.

That’s only available at POSI level. There are some that are available for everyone

So some non-POSI areas that remove your opportunity cards - all menace areas, Pickpockets Promenade, Heist, Shroom Racing (if you get the card and have the Fate). My personal favourite was the Promenade but I don’t have any Skulls at the moment, though I am thinking of collecting them to get a Ray Drenched Cinder.[li]
