Start flipping cards, y’all. You’re looking for a sepia-tinted book. It’s Very Infrequent, meaning half as frequent as normal, meaning twice the regular RNG shenanigans.
[Edit] Just drew the Mayor’s card too. Happy Card Day? edited by PSGarak on 8/12/2020
/edit: I don’t want to think about rng anymore. spend a full week in the forgotten quater for 5 eyeless skulls. just got the last one. edited by Judaspriester on 8/12/2020
I think the Renown cap is more to finalize what was already a de facto limit–at a certain point, even with FATE-Locked items, overgoats, overcapping, and Mood cards, you’d get to where you didn’t have the stats required to raise it anymore. Except for a now semi-retired option for London’s Sinew (I think that’s the Shadowy one?) that required Criminals: 50 (and there were other ways), there’s no benefit to raising Renown above 40 for gameplay, anyway.

After a whole day of flipping cards, I finally managed to draw the first dream card again and re-start the sequence…
First, the existing cards are significantly re-designed. The auto-fire first card is no longer auto-fire, because it has options.
Second, be VERY CAREFUL when you click. You’ll know why when you see it.
Third, this is going to take ages. It looks like most of these cards are Very Infrequent or worse. I’ve decided to just accept that I can’t power through the new content, and instead I shall enjoy spontaneously getting to see something new in Fallen London for the next few months. I’ll see you all on the other side of the staircase!

hmm… entering/leaving the lab? It’s still an enormous grind, but afaik the fastest (reliable) way to refresh your deck.
I spent literally all day yesterday resetting my deck to fish for dream cards, and got just one. This morning I got two in my first hand. Altogether I’ve drawn 4 Burial cards and 0 Fire Sermon.
Right now I don’t see any reason to believe the frequencies are out of line with what’s listed. It could happen, but odds are you just got lucky. If I were you, I would avoid any 97% chances for the next day or two. And don’t play any XCOM.
Rare opportunity cards are the worst way to tell the story, especially with FBG’s inclination to use obscure references, vague descriptions and small fragments. I cant remember dream story lines, not even one of them. edited by Waterpls on 8/13/2020
