Doghunt

D’oh! Of course it is. Well, I think I’ve hit the content barrier. From what I can tell, the palace doesn’t offer anything at the moment. I like the game, and I think I can check back every so often to see what you’ve added. I hope SN gives some sort of patch note functionality beyond the “what’s new!” storylet FL did once. I definitely want to give you some nex, either as a tip or for in-game whatever. You could probably benefit from Nex-locked get-out-of-doghouse or apparently dog heaven.

i do not believe any video game, ever, in the past or future, will be able to top this

bravo

Dog digs Doghunt.

Power: Super Smell. Dog likes walk. Dog hates bath.

Dog like schaudenfreude. Dog hate rejection. Dog turn invisible. Dog obviously plotting to become either criminal mastermind, lord of pranking, or voyeur.

What do the different powers as of now? In particular, is there any way to get Loaded Offshore Bank Accounts, either with or without financial analysis? (And what’s up with the toads?)

Dog likes the blues. Dog hates French (despite speaking it). Dog has invisibility powers of CAT. Dog is making things happen.
Dog is an ambassador to Catkind. Dog is wondering how long it will take to get 5 purses and buying those bones.

I got a single purse from conquering Alpha Hydrant. Along with a rare bone and a reservation.

Yep, that’s what I’m doing =) 3 cp ouch on failure means I’m going to heaven again soon…

…Interesting. Have to admit I like cats better though. :p

Financial analysis, likes schadenfreude, hates rejection.

Dog likes walk.
Dog hates bath.
Some dog can analyse finance.

I have to say, the main reason I played this game was the chance to interact with real historical figures, such as Arf Barkwoof, King Dog.

Spoiler alert: Just for the record, the lucky result when trading 5 purses is 10 x uncommon bone.

Awesome! Time to check it out =)

Nice update! Gives me a reason to grind a bit more again. Say, is there a reason to get to dog heaven? Like… is it required for anything important, as the doghouse is?

It’s an OK way to get happy tokens if you like the blues. That’s about it.

The Doghouse or whatever it’s called is better than it, though.

Hi Kadir and all.

I have a monthly gaming column for Australia’s PC Powerplay magazine. (I’ve been writing it for the last 5.5 years.) Just letting you know I’ve popped a small paragraph in - this month - urging players to check Doghunt out and the Storynexus community in general. And I quoted Alexis’ bite the keyboard remark. (As long as that’s all good.)

The column is really about Game Jam 2013 and how designers convey ideas implicitly. I thought this game was a good example to pop in. Kadir, it’s print, so let me know if you want to read it.

Cheers,
Meg

Hi Meg,

It’s nice to see another Australian on these boards. I’d love to read the column! PM me, I guess.

Yay. Aussies. (It’ll be printed in, I dunno, a few weeks. I’ll be in touch.) :) (I wrote my byline as my doghunt qualities.)

Any update on this? Is it still being written, is the author sick, will my dog ever meet Arf Barkwoof, King Dog?

Dog likes Doghunt.

Dog is law-abiding and thoroughly conditioned to manage Menaces.

Dog never thought of intentionally letting Infringing Doglaw rise to 8.

Dog assumed that “if Ouch reaches 8 you will die” meant dogsona would end.

Dog is now embarrassed in front of other dog. Dog hates rejection. Therefore, dog will launch submarine strike at any dog who laugh.
