So I have a couple of questions about Snow, and the Taste of Lacre, which may or may not be vital to my chances of success at upgrading my Premises at the Bazaar.
First, will snow continue to fall after December 31st, or will I have to buy it from Urchins instead?
Second, are Mr. Sacks cards available after December 5th, or do they all disappear by the time Penstock’s Wicket opens?
The cards will still be available. You might have to buy snow from the Urchins after the 31st - I’m not sure when they stop selling, but it’ll stop snowing soon.
If it is, then it’s something to keep in mind that Christmas cards (not Mr Sacks twelve days) and Snowbound definitely ends at Dec. 26 from Time the Healer for next year. This is my first Christmas in the Neath, so I have no idea if prior Snowbound occurrences ended after Dec. 25, or it could be a new set up. I am hoping some type of resolution, be it support responding or a social message, can help confirm the missing Snowbound as intentional or not. I hope someone with a recent Time the Healer today onwards can chime in that they received Snowbound to make sure.
Part of the reason this concerns me is that I am unsure what will happen to the ‘A Clear Path’ quality (necessary to earn pails from Urchins on their card) when Time no longer relates to Snowbound. It would be interesting to find out when that quality goes away, be it when Christmas is officially gone from the Neath or sometime sooner. I feel it would go away once Christmas is over in the Neath, but I have no idea since this is my first time experiencing the holiday in the Neath.

Day 3 has a fate locked option for offering a larger diamond, could anyone tell or PM me what the difference is between it and the non-fate locked?
It’s a requirement skip, not a different story.

Well the snow should have nothing to do with the season, and the lacre-fall didn’t start on a day equivalent to the one it ended on. I’d think the devs would try to be fair, and ensure everyone can get the same # of pails, but i could be wrong. I really hope i’m not.
So the total number of pails of snow for this year will be 5, without purchasing extras? Is that the usual amount?
Last Year, IIRC, there were 3 pails from natural snowbounds and 1 from an advent snowbound, as well as one pail from the calendar. However, i’m not sure i do recall correctly.
Don’t forget: you can also get a pail of snow on Day 9 of Mr. Sacks, and another pail of snow on Day 12 if you’re feeling Ruthless (and don’t mind missing out on 4 CP of Masters connection).

metasynthe if you don’t have the items to increase futher than 5 they’re pretty useless
I don’t understand, I was only snowbound twice and so those two pails plus the one from the advent calendar only add up to three, yet I saw someone mention 5 earlier in the thread. Did I do something wrong and miss out on a couple of pails somehow?
Failbetter did intend to stop providing Christmas cards on the 25th - so as according to some people in this thread Snow also didn’t fall when Time came calling. I am hoping that it is a mistake, that someone at Failbetter hit the wrong off switch and that there will be more snow to come.
Good news for those caught flat-footed by this: a clear path is still an extant quality, and therefore, theoretically, purchasing so-called snow from urchins should be possible.can anyone who’s had a TTH visit and drawn urchins check the option is still there?

Madison’s last TTH was a couple days ago, but they just got the Urchin card and the option is indeed still available.

Were you signed up earlier than December and were you active every TTH and playing "SNOWBOUND!" Edit: including Christmas’? (If you miss cashing in anything from Time the Healer or TTH such as the earnest of payment or the above SNOWBOUND!, it does not stack and is simply overwritten.) If so, the options you chose whether to pay, do it yourself or help others grant a pail of so-called snow (the Fate-locked option grants an item for trade in for Home comforts or one Transportation item and gives another value, but no Pail. Since I tried it this year, I’ll vouch for this.)
If you did all this, contact support where they will ask you some questions to determine if this is a bug or not.

Yes to all those questions, however, I only ever saw the Snowbound option twice (last Sunday and the Sunday before). But it’s possible I was just an idiot and overlooked it on earlier Sundays, since this was my first Christmas here and I wasn’t quite sure how everything worked or where to look for it. Sucks to be me, I guess.
EDIT: Wait, didn’t Snowbound not start until the 14th or 15th of the month? So I would only have gotten it on the day it started plus last Sunday, when my TTH showed up. Those two buckets plus the one from the Advent calendar only add up to 3. Where do the other two buckets come from and how did I miss them? I’m so confused.
EDIT AGAIN: Wait, did everyone get snow on Christmas day? I know you did but I thought that was because your TTH happened to fall on Christmas day. If we all got some on Christmas, I guess that explains where one of the missing buckets went.

It’s Dec 27 for me, Sunday, and my Time, the Healer (TtH) did not bring Snowbound as well (UPDATE: Reason: Temporarily retired, explained here and further in the post). I would like to propose some observations/summary for Christmas Cards, Snowbound and briefly the Wicket (will be updated from time to time), based on what I read on this forum thus far and my own experience in this holiday. Using these observations, perhaps one can try to have a better idea of how next year may roll out these events. These observations are under the assumption everything happened based on what Failbetter scheduled for Christmas in 1893 (2015). Also, timezones do vary, so the dates are based on my own timezone. I did not keep track of the exact hour an event started or ended.
It is important to note that when Dec 1 arrived, a variety of individuals (not everyone) had their Time the Healer delayed and permanently adjusted. It may happen again next year, and if does, it will influence when options will be available. So, one should try to be aware that Time the Healer may change (the change is variable, could be minutes or hours) as the Christmas season begins in the Neath. It has also been reported Time changed again during January too, so keep in mind it may occur throughout the season too.
Christmas Cards: These rolled out sometime on Tuesday, Dec 1, with Time, the Healer. At the same time, the first advent calendar window was open, which provided 7 Cards. These cards would not stack with what Time, the Healer provided, thus one would need to time how they used the cards Time provided on top of using the Advent code. The code would expire in 5 days, or Dec 5. Time the Healer stopped providing Christmas Cards on Friday, Dec 25. Individuals that kept cards when Time, the Healer arrived before Dec 25 are still able to send them until Dec 31. Time will not erase cards kept after Dec 25 when Time arrives again by Dec 31. For example, those who received a refill on Dec 21 from Time the Healer, and kept 4 cards, will not have them erased or refilled when Time arrives on Dec 28. Alternatively, those who pay 10 Fate can still earn one Card too (only if you have no cards). Based on the warning on the header, Dec 31 was the last day to send any cards. On January 1, the option to gain or send cards was retired. When Time the Healer arrives in January (at least for me) any Potential Christmas Cards left in the inventory that were not sent got eliminated by Time, so one can not keep one as a memento for the year.
Based on how the calendar for December of 2015 is set up, when the event for Christmas Cards started, those with TtH on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday were able to have 4 refills. Perhaps those with TtH on Friday before it was scheduled to stop received 4 refills too. Those with TtH on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday were able to have 3 refills. Also, those who had TtT on Tuesday before the event started most likely had 3 refills as well. Add one more refill for everyone that used the December 1 Advent code on Dec 1-5.
Snowbound: This event started on Monday, Dec 14. When it started, everyone had an universal Snowbound event not related to Time, the Healer. During this event, one had the option to shovel the snow without Fate or pay a Master to do it for 30 Fate. If one did it without Fate, everyone received at least 1 Pail of So-Called Snow and the quality ‘A Clear Path’. With Fate, while one did not receive a Pail, other items were received instead, but one still attained the quality ‘A Clear Path’. This quality allows for one to buy a Pail of So-Called Snow from the opportunity card ‘The Roof-Tops: Urchins’ using resources and urchin connections. After one did the first Snowbound storylet, one received Snowbound based on their Time, the Healer. The ‘A Clear Path’ quality will most likely go away when Christmas events are officially done sometime in January. As an effort to ease the burden of support from Failbetter since they took a much deserved break, the Snowbound event was temporarily retired for everyone when Time, the Healer arrived on Saturday, December 26 and stayed that way for four days (Dec 26-29). One still kept the ‘A Clear Path’ quality during this phase. On Dec 30, it was reported Snowbound returned with Time the Healer. Anyone who had Time the Healer on Dec 30 or later saw Snowbound again. It is unclear if the next Snowbound event will be the last, so keep that in mind when deciding to use Fate or not. Time the Healer does eliminate ‘A Clear Path’ quality in January, but it is regained as Snowbound is performed (for me on Jan 3, 2016). This will be updated as my Time arrives on Jan 10, 2016 to record what happens then, or before if posts report something sooner.
(The Following figures for Snowbound are not final, they will be adjusted as Snowbound becomes re-enabled and officially ends in time!)
Before the temporary retirement:
Based on the calendar, when the event started, those with TtH on Monday-Friday received 3 Snowbound events so far (the universal and 2 TtH) and those with TtH on Saturday and Sunday received 2 Snowbound events so far (the universal and 1 TtH). Also, those with TtH on Monday before Snowbound started most likely also had 2 Snowbound events. To reinterpret this with Pail gain (assuming one did not do the Fate option), when the event started, those with TtH on Monday-Friday would get 3 Pails. Those with TtH on Saturday and Sunday would get 2 Pails (same applies for TtH on Monday before the event started). Also, add one more Pail for those who used the code on December 5 on the Advent Calendar from Dec 5-10. Other sources of Pails can be the Twelve Days of Mr Sacks Opportunity card event and buying them from Urchins.
Penstock’s Wicket: Briefly opened on Jan 5 as a mistake (take a look at this post), the same day the Day 12 of Mr Sacks card unlocked. However, it officially opened on Jan 6, until Jan 30 (maybe sooner, that will need observation). When it opened, there was a universal storylet directly to the Wicket, enabled once the Twelve Days of Mr Sacks was completed.
Please point out anything I can fix so I can have a better idea of these events!
Edit: Updates on Snowbound and other notes, will be frequent to try to stay up to date.

A through summary, from my point of view (Monday TtH). I will also note as someone who had a TtH early on Monday previously (4AM EST), my time was moved on December 1st to close to 12 PM EST. This is particularly notable because I got the first two Snowbound events within an hour of each other when it triggered, and I believe others with a similar time-slot also has their TtH delayed.
I finished with 3 Pails of Lacre (I’m fairly certain) and 4 sets worth of cards (including the set from Advent 1). I have received cards post-Christmas, but am uncertain of their senders’ TtH.

Can confirm the TtH shift. I used to have TtH in the late morning and now its around 18.00
We retire the Snowbound effect on Time the Healer for a few days over Christmas to ease the support burden while most of us are off. It’ll return for another flurry in a few days!
