I take it beauty lost out to heartiness. Anybody know the figures?
The final numbers were around 3.3M Heartiness and 2.1M Beauty.

I wonder if the absolute amounts of Beauty and Heartiness mattered in the end, or if it was just the balance of the two. Either way, I’m pretty satisfied with this outcome!

Nothing much to do for non-fate players until the 15th, when the Urchin war begins.
In the meantime, keep on carrying on. Might be a good idea to stock up on Urchin favours (Snowbound clearing) and acquire that Semiotic Monocle if you haven’t already.
And if you are a maniac and want to challenge the RNG gods of FL during Christmas…

I was playing with a recently turned POSI alt created during the hellish Estival 2025. I got a total of around 169k Arborist’s Gratitude in the end: 2x Pulsating Amber, 1x Leviathan Frame, 4x Dreadful Surmise. The little remainder Arborist’s Gratitude was turned into Rostygold.
Leviathan Frame is a bone which you can use to assemble a skeleton at the Bone Market later. You can dig for bones or acquire them by other methods in the mid-late game. If you don’t have enough Arborist’s Gratitude early game I recommend skipping Leviathan Frame, getting Pulsating Amber or Dreadful Surmise instead, which can be sold for echoes and then spent on something useful.

Well, the consort was happy!I feel surprisingly gratified by that. How rare sightings of the Empress are in the game makes them feel like such big events.

Well, the instruction “Playing this will convert any remaining Arborist’s Gratitude into rostygold.” should have been bigger and bolder. For me, at least.
Now one of my accounts suddenly has a lot of rostygold.

Quickly checking for next year, but the best source for Storm Phrenodies is the Miser Roads, and the best one for Night Whispers is hunting a temporal law, right?
Definitely the Miser-Roads for Threnodies. I was able to pull down a couple hundred in a few weeks, I don’t think there’s anything else that comes close.
For Night Whispers, I’m a bit less sure and it gets complicated. Most activities that give Night Whispers will also give some other stuff as well, so it’s a bit of a tradeoff in terms of actions required vs overall EPA. Law Hunting is definitely competitive, but there’s a Stacks run as well I would consider.

I’m guessing the latest added run in the Stacks? I’ve not touched that one, I thought at first it was Fate-locked and then I just plain forgot about it.
Correct, the Graven Apostate. Worth it for the text alone, but also for the Night Whisper.
If I counted correctly, buying Maniac’s Prayers at the Rat Market and upconverting should give more Threnodies per action than the Miser Roads (though lower total EpA).
Your speed will be limited by Urchin Favours, but if you’re preparing for next year you should have plenty of time.

If you are of the crazy mindest to get the 777 QLDs, Baristering at the Evenlode for the Urchins provides one Threnody for 6 Actions. Not worth it epa wise though.
But that is how I got mine.
But I am not crazy. I tested myself in my laboratory and my reflection confirmed this to me.

Oddball endgame option:
Saddled worm produces ungodly amounts of aeolian screams. Which could be upconverted with addition of Urchin Favours. It’s not optimal, but still high EpA and would supply a lot of Threnodies over the course of the year without going out of your way. Just get the faction pet, you will draw some cards in London anyway during festivals and weekly hunts for +10 actions card.

That’s exactly my plan while stocking up supplies for next time. Between Favourable Circumstances letting you get a Favour per week, you’ll pull a decent amount of Urchin cards and Faction Pet cards to use up some of the Aeolian Screams that are piling up.
I’ve got Tears coming in from Worm as well, combined with Rat Market and Presumptuous Little Opportunity. Looks like those will accumulate sooner than later actually.
Night Whispers are the only thing I haven’t looked too far into.

More or less what I’m doing already but since I’m mostly flipping cards in the Hinterlands, it’s by far a secondary source.
And as idyl said, it doesn’t solve the Night Whispers sourcing.
