I’m currently being laserbeam’d which led me to thinking about FLPCs and the heat. How does everyone’s deal with it?
My main player character will either gripe endlessly or leave to the nearest cool place (the Zee or the Hinterlands). London’s muggy city summers are nothing like the Yorkshire countryside or the Hauts-de-France summers of his childhood and he Will make sure you know that. He doesn’t understand how a subterranean city still warms with the passing seasons.
My Neathborn character is technically an NPC but I’ll mention her anyway. She’s used to the Neath and has a whole host of suits made of varying seasonally-appropriate fabrics. She will still occasionally complain.
It rained earlier today so the 77F right now feels worse than the 79F from yesterday.
My character is Hell-aligned. I wonder if the White City has more of a dry heat? Perhaps a cabin in the Chagrin. That sounds more comfortable than what I have right now.
My character is zee-man. Now he’s planning to do a complete trip around the Underzee: London → Elder Continent → Polythreme → Khanate → Iren → Port Cecil → London. And then the reverse!
Hmm … will get a nice bunch of cartographer hoards along the way. And some good quantity of plunder as well.
