Yeah the final construction of the Zub was the one and only thing so far I have spent Fate on to skip the grind for.

When I achieve today 9 running battle in first boat, this is more than I need: I only buyed Clay Man.
Faced with a recorded range of 2->821 Cryptic Clues on a Bundle which only has a ~1.5% drop rate, I’ve beaten the odds and discovered a uniquely poor harvest. In the tradition of Victorian Explorers before me, I’m calling this Discovery "The Elderfleur Clue".
I finally got Legendary Charisma! (Now I can worry less about leaving my notability to drain now that it’s so much lower…)
I have just been named Poet Laureate. I have acquired my Ubergoat, Cider, newspaper acclaim, and all treasures. I am recognized for my Paramount Presence, and maintain a relationship of 50+ in every form of Renown, as well as my companionship to the Widow’s (224) and Duchess’ (665). I have adventured in every foreign land, served as governor, been the darling of the salons, and achieved every accomplishment I know of in the Neath, along with every Exceptional Story. I am experiencing a combination of elation and fear of ennui. Alas, only the Heptagoat eludes me in all my adventures, but I am not sure I could bear such a creature. I am not sure what the future holds for dear Feldon, but I shall keep a stiff upper lip.
Managed to finally get a Coruscating Soul from the Fidgeting Writer story!
I have all stats at 200!!!
Now to get that Ubergoat…
I know it’s not much, but I have given the milk to Clara and by doing so, reached the current end of my ambition. So now I am stuck on the ceiling, trying to remember my past. I know mechanically it make no difference, but I find that a bit awkward.
Overall, I am tremendously satisfied with this ambition. It was weird, creepy, sad and exciting and it took my character in new directions. It was what guided my decisions for almost all the game, and it feel kind of weird that it’s over (for now). I agree with Helen Demeter on the google document Choice of Fallen London: At first, I was only in it for the jewel, but it’s the character and the story that made me stay.
I guess you could say that in the end, the real treasure were the friends I made along the way…
I had two Mood cards in my hand and frankly, they were cluttering my deck, given that I had no immediate need of them. So I decided to abandon Author for Correspondent (Watchful task) and take my 49 Bohemian Renown to 50 (Persuasive task). So I did just that, and got lucky with my attempts.
Less than twelve hours later, I walked into a Dusty Bookshop again. Still haven’t chosen what to do with it - unless another major grind is on the way, maybe I will take The Great Game to 50 too.

I finally have all renown-items, even those I have no use for. Took long enough with the tomb colonists. They should, like, make a colony closer to London!
Nothing unusual or lucky today - just a neat checkpoint in the eternal grind.
Love how little space those 1’s take :D

Whatever happened to my post? I smell Rattus Faber mischief! I meant to note that I recently became A Scholar of the Correspondence.
