Cats in Sealed Boxes

Apparently someone here on the Surface, in real life, sealed cats into parcels. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6598037/Heartbreaking-moment-11-cats-left-die-sealed-box-dumped-alleyway.html The article includes video of members of a nearby animal trust rescuing the cats by using butter knives to remove the packing tape and release the cats.

Fortunately, all the cats have been rescued. They were very underweight and full of fleas, but they’re going to make it.

By the way, these cats did not leap out furiously, the way they do in Fallen London, probably because of their poor physical condition. In addition, the article says that, because no air holes were left in the boxes, the cats would likely have died of asphyxiation within 2 hours if they hadn’t been rescued.
