Seems I did something to upset someone. Previously in the game I had helped the Windward Company fight the Tacketies. Collected lots of number plates, shifted the balance of power so the company won the power struggle in New Winchester, and now… they hate me! Can’t go near New Winchester without being attacked by multiple company ships (the blue ones, I presume they are company ships, the game never tells you what something is unless you destroy it).
It’s a little perplexing. Oh well, I thought, I’ll go check out London instead. Haven’t been to Albion before. But it’s the same there, I get attacked by everything that ought to be friendly. Ungrateful bastards! After all I did for them. :)
My game seems to have got confused. I suppose the only thing to do is start afresh. Is that what you are supposed to do? Start a new game with each new build? That’s a quite a disheartening prospect, as I had got quite a lot done. Maybe I will wait for the full release after all.
I personally started a new game with each larger patch. Especially since I wanted to keep track of the bigger changes. It seems you pissed off London and the ones who work for them enough for them to clearly be after you now. The tacketies are essentially the rebels. London and the stovepipes are the ones in charge of the main ports, so going against them would clearly make things a bit more difficult for you. Not really sure where your surprise comes from. I haven’t shifted powers too far in either way yet, but maybe keep shifting them further and eventually the ones attacking you will be less plentiful and hateful?
Edit: Sorry, misread your post a bit. I’m guessing some value got swapped between patches that effected your game? I know port reports and favor definitely have been changed quite a bit, especially depending on when you last played. edited by Konrow on 7/13/2018 edited by Konrow on 7/13/2018
