Now I am very curious. Did anyone select the last option in the final of the season’s conclusion? What was the result (and reward)?

I did (and echoed the text).
It cost 1 CP (I think) of each dream quality, and gave a Vial of Tears of the Bazaar.
What were the other results?

I killed the snake and got Intriguer’s Compendium. No echo though, sorry; I am terrible at recording stuff.

My choice and its results, if anyone’s curious:
I fed the snake false-dreams. In return I got a Dreadful Surmise, and my Nightmares were reduced to 0 – but they were only at 2 to begin with, so I don’t really know how much it wipes.

But was the manager happy with the results? I am a bit confused as to what happens…
It seems that killing the snake gives an Intriguer’s Compendium, feeding the snake false stories gives a Dreadful Surmise, and feeding the snake your own dreams gives a Vial of Tears of the Bazaar. Between these, the Vial of Tears is probably of the most use, but you’re not going to pick based on material rewards, are you?
(As a side note, I’m starting to get a bit antsy trying to wait for the next ES.)
Also, I really wish I journaled that line about the rope ladder he only just now has always been carrying.

I fed the snake my own dreams, after I’d read the line that it might ‘improve them’, or be a good influence - or whatever it was, I can’t remember - the only thing I do remember is the Managers reaction; it wasn’t as if I went through this whole charade with the goal of betraying him; I just wanted to try and improve something for the better.
Then again, I barely know half of what’s going on half the time, and I studiously refuse to do any research into the lore, so as to not spoil anything for myself, so I may have well doomed the unterzee with my act of misguided(?) charity, but that’s how this stuff normally goes

I know this thread is over, but would you mind sending me a PM regarding the results and consequences of the ritual also?
Me too, actually. I skipped it for some reason, then came to regret it.
I am months out of date as far as Exceptional Stories go, so apologies for this bit of blatant necromancy.

- Antiquarian: "I only want them to stay if they really want to. Please find out, since you’re a neutral party."[/li][li]Player character: Convince them all to leave.[/li][li]Player: Huh?
This for me was a terrible blunder in the writing. It spoiled a story which up to that point I was rather enjoying. A really stupid way to set it up. Ought to have been a conversation option where you find out what their feelings are, and then have a choice whether to persuade them or not. Not impressed.
I thought the descriptions were gorgeous and found the story a nice way to distract myself while waiting for time the healer to sort something out for me. I was scared at the prospect of being caught when playing hide and seek… but it was actually easy to avoid. I liked the mood and atmosphere of the story.
I’ve looked through this thread and am confused about the "Ritual" option that people have claimed is connected either to an ushabti you pick up at some point, or to exploring the house pre-hunt. My character definitely picked up the ushabti as usual in the course of the story, and I believe I explored the house thoroughly; but I only had the two options of asking the Antiquarian or the Assistant to translate. Does anyone know what actually triggers, or disables, the "Ritual" option?
I have a theory that it might be linked to the drunkenness quality, which I immediately maxed out at the start of the party because I thought it was funny. Since that quality didn’t seem to be used to unlock any other choices, perhaps it instead invisibly disables the "Ritual" choice, under the reasoning that your character is too intoxicated to use their resourcefulness?
On the off chance it’s relevant, during the parlour games and séance, my character chose the options, "Drink", "Pour another glass", and "Take the Radical Archaeologist’s Hand".
I don’t remember how the ritual happened, but the drink quality made challenges more difficult.
