Oh the irony. A storylet about a friend who is constantly plagued by a stalker, keeps popping up in my hand. I feel like my friend is as bad a stalker as the alleged stalker themselves. The irony would be delicious, if I weren’t caught in the midst of it. How can I get rid of her? She’s worse then the Merry Gentleman. (well, I suppose not. At least I can discard her card if I like. But she seems to pop up more often then him at his worst.)
(While I’m breaking character, the exact storylet is called "City Vices: a Plea from an Old Friend.")
so once you’re a PoSI you can marry her or the Thief and you can reject the other one harshly (causing you to be unable to marry them, but it also cancels their card)
You can have both hate you! (what I did, the cards were so baaad)
And you can marry another player or such, good luck!

There’s no real need to marry neither of them.
If you just start courting her, the card goes away, and is replaced by a pinned storylet at the side-sreets (which you can ignore).
There are those who would recoil at the idea of holy matrimony being used for something so petty. I’m not one of them. I’ll see if any of my acquaintances are interested in marriage.

marrying another player won’t make them leave you alone, you need to start courting either if I remember correctly
or
alternatively play the option "ensure she never troubles you again" on her card http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/Remember_the_Artist’s_Model%3F
By the way, if you don’t have St Arthur yet, I’d advice you to start courting her instead of breaking up. If I recall correctly, she would still be useful.
If you move into a Lodging with a Remote Address (Old Newgate Cellars, Dripstone-Snared Temple, Zee-Znail Retreat), then all the City Vices cards will disappear from your deck, up until you decide to move to a lodging that is not a remote address.
However, those lodgings are only available during Neathmas, so if you did not manage to get one by then, you will have no choice but to wait.

One of the remote locations is also available year-round via Fate, by playing the Exceptional Story "The Haunting at the Marsh-House" and making a specific choice at the end.
On the other hand, remote locations will also take away useful cards, like the singer. Best bet is make it to POSI, start courting and then she leaves the deck.
No such lock with the Struggling Artist though.
On the other hand, remote locations will also take away useful cards
Really now?
like the singer.
Oh. I wanted to write something witty here but all I can express is befuddlement at how you’re not sick and tired of seeing the Singer all the time, every single day, at practically abundant frequency (even if it doesn’t say so), on two separate cards.
While the Singer is overly abundant in the decks, her cards are quite handy in a way, you can practically keep her connection constantly at 9 and from that gain a Presbyterate Passphrase and a few CP MW, for 1 Action, which isn’t too bad.
If it were "a few CP MW", then it wouldn’t be bad, but it’s actually exactly 1CP which is pretty average (the bog-standard side-conversion grind averages out higher, and a good bit higher if you gather your tier 2 items at the correct stages before a rush). The Passphrase is decently profitable, but since you need two actions for each (one to cash out the connection, one to bring it back to 9) the EPA is actually abysmal for an opportunity card. Not to mention that the success rate isn’t even 100%.
So it’s not worth it for profit, it’s not worth it when rushing MW, meaning it’s only worth it for leisurely raising some MW and getting some monetary compensation in the process. Not totally useless, but not particularly useful either, and certainly far, far more frequent than its utility would warrant. edited by Dudebro Pyro on 7/2/2018
Well, while it is boring to see the same card over and over and over, when you are grinding notability it is one of the few cards that give MW and echoes. In any case, it is better than say, the Struggling Artist or the model which began this thread.
But sure, the frequency is way too high.
Want to add the the Singer isn’t great even when farming MW. When I worked on reaching level 10, RNG was bit cruel and it took a lot of attempts!
Luckily, it was a good opportunity to records it’s frequency and after 100+ cards I think those two cards actually count as 3; each having ~150% frequency. Over time, the value they offer diminishes, but if you need a deck of 5 cards, you need a deck of 5 cards! :) edited by Skinnyman on 7/2/2018
Five card lodgings give several advantages: you can hold on to moods, you increase your chances of getting the card you want on Heists or the Nadir, you can be less bothered by stuff like eyeless sculls, menace cards and conflict cards. You also get the singer as your near-permanent companion but hey, better her than the devils.

Is it really only one? I thought it was 2 or 3 CP…
Either way, thank you for the headsup!
