I’m doing Heart’s Desire and I’m currently in the 24 hour waiting period before I can play my second game. I’m about set to play straight through to the end after that.
Before I do, though, are there any pre-Marvellous storylets, actions, etc that I should go through ? I’m thinking of things like the University storylets that close after the first expulsion, or the little things that change after becoming PoSI. What should I be sure to do before I start those final hands of cards?
Nah, don’t think there’s anything much in particular. Though as I recall you’ll want a prince of Hell location, a ray-drenched cinder and an intriguer’s compendium at the ready for later (Were those the ones? Someone correct me if I got it wrong). So I would get to work on those if you don’t have them handy.

I’m curious about that Prince of Hell Location–do I need to get it again? Or is it still the same Location as the one used earlier in the game?
Yeah, not the one you earn over the course of the ambition itself and then immediately lose, I’m pretty sure there’s a place you can use one later on. Doesn’t consume it, but you need to have it available if you want to do the thing. The cinder is perhaps the most important of these three.

The option that requires a hell-prince location is ironically 90 echoes cheaper than the alternative in terms of actual cost. (You don’t lose the location.) There’s nothing else unique about it, though.
The option that costs a Ray-Drenched Cinder does give you a reward that’s worth the price, though. Don’t miss that.
And make sure you speak to every previous winner when you get the chance. It’s pretty well sign-posted when you should do that, but it’s still missable if you ignore the signposts.
