An occurrence! Your 'A Skin-Bound Memory' Quality

is now A Symbol of the Correspondence!

I decided that I liked the idea of this one enough to get it etched into my skin. At what point do you become too much of a fan of something?

…I have what may be bad (or, depending on your feelings on shareholding body parts, good) news. The limb and/or body part to which you have affixed this tattoo may now in fact be property of FBG.

As per this older post: http://community.failbettergames.com/topic20231-has-this-not-been-asked.aspx#post106147

And its inevitable legal follow-up post: http://community.failbettergames.com/topic20231-has-this-not-been-asked.aspx#post106476

Well, you are safer then most in this situation, as your tattoo does not possess the black insides usually exhibited in pictures of the Correspondence.
Example pic:

Robin Alexander: It took maybe 15-20 minutes. It’s not a very big tattoo, so whilst it stung, it was over somewhat quickly.
The Dark Gentleman: I did not realise that. Let’s hope that Failbetter don’t mind this too much. I’d rather not have to fillet bits of my skin off (the resultant scar would be much less appealing).

that is not how any of this works[li]

Of course it isn’t. Amusing though that would be…

Actual legal consideration is provided after the second post, where the lack of legislation or case law precedent concerning tattoos of copyrighted material is discussed, briefly.

Frankly, Failbetter does not come across as the sort of evil faceless corporation necessary to be so unkind as to pursue legal recourse, not would it be economically prudent regardless.

I’m considering getting one of my own, actually. It looks really cool, although “hurtling towards the Earth at a very high speed” (or whatever the precise meaning of that glyph is) would not be my first choice.

Unless you are actively offering to tattoo this for people as a business, Failbetter has better things to do and they has worse fans to punish :)
