Seriously stuck at Arm yourself to face the Manager in the Garden of Nightmares.
I am quite hesitant in sacrificing various dreams. Is there another option?
I have stone tentacle-key. Nightmares at 5, can talk to to the Manager but not much else.

It sounds as though you’re here. The wiki doesn’t know of another option so you’re very likely out of luck. I believe the Key was only useful for a much earlier step.

Yeah, it was one of my least favorite parts of HD. If you have access to the Nadir the card ‘A Weakness in the Air’ will increase your dream qualities by 1 cp except for Burial of the Dead.
