Ambition or Grind?

Hello. I’m planing on trying to get the upgraded Midnight Matriarch.

Unfortunately I don’t have 400 echoes.

Unfortunately I also don’t have enough resources in storage to justify selling everything for echos.

What I do have is Ambition: Light Fingers 51 and a Zee Clipper

So I wanted to ask if the reward (not saying what it is specifically) for finishing the ambition would be worth selling for the 400 echoes (or for that matter, sellable) or if I should simply grind out Open a window to the night air for maniacs prayers?

The ambitions don’t have a reward at the moment, as they aren’t finished. It’s just a money sink right now.

Without getting into details, the profit for the next few steps of Light Fingers is decidedly negative.

I can’t say for sure about the ambition reward, however you can also get midnight matriarchs from rare successes on cat boxes. If you put your profile up I would be more than happy to send you one next time it comes up in my opportunity deck. You likely to also get a fair amount of wounds and maybe a starveling cat doing this, but if your willing to take the risk Im up for sending you some.

Was just setting that up. I would greatly appreciate that definitely going to start grinding out the prayers though if Ambitions aren’t finished. Getting 5 prayers minimum it seems like and possibly more seems to just make it objectively better than Sprifer.

EDIT: Still getting used to forum. Hopefully I’ll learn to use preview quite often.

&quotOpen a window to night air&quot is pretty inefficient; it’s at most 1 echo per action (and on average .5). Spirifage would be way more efficient than that. (For that matter, so would just selling souls straight to the bazaar.) But you’re an early PoSI, so you can probably also earn enough for the cat just by going through any available story content aside from your ambition. Just hold off on joining a club, etc. for a bit, since those are pretty intense money sinks.

Clearly I don’t know what Spirifage is. I thought it was “Track down a Sprifer” am I completely unaware of some kind of amazing money printer?

The fate locked “trade in souls” can unlock a very profitable option to sell souls to hell.

The ambition is going to be there in another two weeks, so I’d say if you want a specific companion from Hallowmas, go for it instead.

Grind AotB and you’ll make it on time.
