The second acquirable agent has a salvage score and should be better suited for that assignment.
I believe the second venture needs to be done by the Clay Breaker guy, who is unlocked after you have finished three ventures. Clay Breaker specializes in salvaging.
Being Dutch, I had to go with Barlow, van Doorn, and Smith. :)
Onwards to the second concurrent plot. The required items lined up nicely enough that I could unlock it without running out of anything.
Something that is not present on Wiki or I just fail to locate it:
Summary
Failing Zailors, Astray
’s first challenge (exploration) moves you to a different branch, A Barren Rock
, which has a dangerous challenge attached. Failing this second challenge only yields 10 Zee-Ztories; this is what led me to believe it’s that this branch is not well known. In ~8h I will come back with the success reward too.
As for the other actions where you can fail a challenge, they don’t lead to other branches; I collected all their echoes.
EDIT: I think it’s already on Wiki as an alternative, but it’s missing the reward/s. Maybe it’s not related to success/failure. Investigating more.
Is it possible to put the third agent to work? Or is that a fate-only feature?
I’ve been working the old man and the beret woman hard, clay man is sitting around doing nothing.
It’s subscriber-only (so not Fate, but requires real money).
Feedback:
I’d like a button “send Agent to the same plot again” that would be available after receiving a report. Having to click through the options again, when realistically I only want to send the same person to the same thing over and over, feels like a waste of time. I imagine it’ll get even more annoying when more Plots are available.
I second this.
Also: Unassigned agents should be above the assigned agents. Or maybe clearer: assignable agents above those not assignable. Scrolling down past the “abandon plot” buttons when I want to reassign a free agent is something that qualifies as unnecessary tedium in my opinion.
Wouldn’t it be better if Plots were more engaging, rewarding, and interactive, rather than something players want to spend as little clicks and attention on as possible? Shouldn’t we ask for this, instead of button that let us mindlessly resend Agents on the same mission with minimal effort?
No. : P
I don’t want Plots to become some kind of “secondary gameplay”. I’m happy with them silently ticking in the background and not getting in my way.
This agents business made me realize I don’t have an overgoat!
I have an ubergoat and heptagoat but no overgoat! Gotta get one to have one of everything….
Just some thoughts after using Agents for a bit now:
The Agents/Plots should be listed in the following order on the tab:
Completed Plots
Unassigned Agents
Ongoing Plot with the least amount of actions left
Ongoing Plot with next least amount of actions left, etc.
Additionally, I think the pop-up announcing a Plot is complete should not auto-dismiss in a few seconds.
This order means that I have to scroll all unassigned agents (in years there might be dozens) to check how many actions left on closest to conclusion plot.
Understandable. The thought is basically that you shouldn’t ever have an Unassigned Agent unless they just finished a Plot. If you do, they’re up top to get them going.
But going with what you said, another issue is a better way to be able to check how many actions are left before the active Plots are complete.
