Hello! My name is Concordat.
I’m not going to say anything bad about Failbetter’s system, or about purchasing Nex. Indeed, I highly respect Failbetter games, and I myself am a relatively regular purchaser of Nex.
No, I’m here to warn you of an experience I had.
So, whenever you purchase Nex on a debit or credit card, your bank has the option to deny access to your card. But why is this?
Well, in recent years, the number of scams originating in Great Britain, where Failbetter Games (or at least their accounts) is located, has risen significantly. Banks flag purchases from Great Britain, and may deny card access for security reasons.
To this end, one must physically go into the bank to have the card reactivated. This is a short process, taking little more than ten to twenty minutes, but it is highly inconvenient.
So, if any of you have this issue, go into your bank, and make sure to tell them that you want purchases from StoryNexus to be cleared.
I currently do not know if one can go in prior to purchasing, and have them disregard these purchases, but do let me know if this is possible.
I certainly hope that this is useful to you!
Good luck, and good travels.
