A couple of quick questions

Hi everyone. These may have been answered somewhere, but I probably won’t ruin anyone’s day if I ask.

  1. How do I give short decriptions to cards on mouse-over? In Fallen London, if you move the mouse over a card, it’ll say something like: &quotNeathy Jewels for Your Aunt&quot and then below &quotYour aunt has a business proposition…&quot A kind of preview.

  2. How do I create events outside of decks? Again, in Fallen London if you go to an area you will see some, or lots, of opportunities on the screen unlocked by Qualities.

Don’t think you can. Think this is a FL feature, not a StoryNexus feature.

Sometimes Storylets will appear in the decks. Always storylets will appear below, outside them (assuming they’re in the right area, and you have the correct qualities to unlock them.)

Ah! That’s how it works with Always. It’s treated as a deck. Confusing.

Can someone give a more complete explanation? Right now my ‘always’ storylets appear as if they’re cards, when I want them to appear as stories with their text readable (a la Fallen London).[li]

[/li][li]I’m afraid that’s just not possible with StoryNexus. You can use CSS, differently sized images or both to create a different layout, but you can’t get it to pull text from within the storylet.[/li]
