A chain of hands.

Spoiler: First part of Heart’s desire finale.

Once we flow down on the hissing river, we end up reading a rock, where there are several names and marks, probably coming from previous players. Who do they belong to?

Legible ones

 • T.B. (Tristram Bailey?)
 • Musical notation (does it still come from Tristram?)
 • A coat of arms with an apple and a mountain (St. Fiacre?)
 • A script of the presbiterate (still St.Fiacre?)
 • A smouldering sigil, probably Correspondance (Mr pages?)

Less legible

 • A gouge in the stone (The Manager?)
 • A pawprint (the monkey?)
 • The number 10 (Virginia??)
 • G.B (???)
.

Clearly GB stands for Globgogabgalab, one of the long-forgotten identities of Mr. Pages.
Further content gives us some more options:

 • The coat of arms with the apple and the mountain is likely His Amused Lordship.[/li][li]GB is the Reverend Gregory Beechwood.[/li][li]10 is October.
For some reason I thought the gouge in the stone was the Boatman with his magic bony finger.

Although in retrospect, anyone with claws would work at least as well.
