Who now? I don't think there's such a person in the game at the moment, unless there's been an update in the last... four hours or so.

I believe that the Pirate Poet, who made her debut in Fallen London as a claywoman pirate companion available during the Festival of the Exceptional Rose, is only represented in early Sunless Sea concept art. She has not yet been implemented into the game and the team has made no mention of her for quite some time.
In Fallen London she is as seen below:
 Dangerous +2 and Persuasive +2
Description: Every yard of her clay skin is crammed with tattooed poetry. "Wrote it myself," she looks you up and down. "Think you're worth a verse?"
Kickstarter backers who pledged £50 received the The Corsair’s Pack which was supposed to include a unique enemy in Sunless Sea called the Pirate Poet. Haven't heard anything on that account, certainly not in any announcements. I only paid the £15 fee so I don't think I'll ever encounter her.

I hate to bring this up, but considering the game is officially released and there's been no word as to the implementation this promised kickstarter feature, I'd just like to verify it has not been forgotten.

There are planned dlc and installments to the game, it's just the the team wanted the game to leave Early Access. Don't worry, everyone who bought the game early will likely get any new dlc free. Like as not, the Pirate Poet will be added later as a possible heavyweight ship boss for the player to take down. I certainly would not mind sparing her and taking her own as an officer.

There are planned updates after release. I was hoping to see the pirate poet since my officer, the Merciless Modiste, is associated with her, but I am content to wait. I don't think the Caldery Heir (babelfishwars) has been implemented yet either.
Just know a Britening will not be postponed indefinitely.

Hate to bring this back up, but since it seems preliminary work has begun on the expansion, I'd like to know what has become of a feature that was ostensibly to be part of the main game.
